Fat Olives

Let me start off by saying I’ve been to many Italian restaurants in several different states and this ones got all of them beat by a country mile. There are no substitutes for good authentic Italian food and this place is incredible. Olive Garden can’t hold a candle to this place and that’s the truth. I had the spaghetti with meatballs, my wife had the chicken Alfredo, and her friend had a pizza. All of it was absolutely delicious and even the Italian soda was good too. Food was beyond reasonably priced for the experience and quality, and the service from our waitress was excellent. Easily the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life and I will certainly be back here if not for the food alone. Truly incredible food as well as experience. Thank you for a fantastic night!!

How lucky are we to find this AMAZING Italian restaurant! From the start, our server Michael took great care of us. We’re always looking for vegan options for myself & my husband, but traveling with a group it can be hard to find a restaurant with great food for everyone. Fat Olives was perfection! Everyone loved their meal. I hope we’re traveling through again soon!!!!

The atmosphere was great but somewhat loud because the place was packed. I suggest getting reservations as far ahead as you can. Our waiter was far above average, olives were AMAZING, pizza was good, dessert was excellent. The wood-fired pizza had the most amazing flavor, but the crust was a tad bit on the dry side. I kept wishing for something to dip my crust in to help it go down. All-in-all, a very good experience with authentic Italian food!

Eat here if you can!! Make sure someone has a pizza and there is a tiramisu on the table. This is the best place I’ve eaten at in Flagstaff so far. Don’t get me wrong I really really like lots of spots here, but Fat Olives exceeded expectations. Wood fired pizza, excellent pasta and really friendly staff. The vibe is good and there’s plenty of bar area if you want to watch them chucking pizza. The chocolate mousse is rich and I’d recommend having a coffee or other warm drink to help it go down. A+ food

Everything we had was out of this world!! From the olives, bruschetta, and to the pizza, it was all SO FRESH and so yummy!! Our server was incredible & he’s definitely good at his job. He informed us of everything we needed to know about the menu and what Fat Olives is all about. We came in February of this year.

I wanted to like this place and was so excited to try their pizza especially their gluten free. I was incredibly disappointed. The gluten free pizza ( shown in picture) had a burnt crust and was so hard my daughter and I could barley eat it. It was also severely lacking in sauce and toppings. It’s was more like a hard cracker that had been lightly brushed with sauce and then wiped off. So disappointed. My husbands normal pizza was the same. Hardly any sauce or toppings and did not look like anyone else’s pizzas that I have seen in the reviews or their uploads. Overall extremely disappointed and would not recommend or go here again.

We stopped in about 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy. Hostess had to bus a table in order to seat us. Apparently tables are bussed only when needed for seating as there were many (at least 5 that I could see) tables full of dirty dishes and half eaten food. Very unappealing. Our server greeted us with minimal enthusiasm and chit chat and took our drink order- which was for all waters. She returned and we ordered, I asked for a recommendation and she suggested the marmalade pizza which I accepted. Pizzas came out and right away We noticed that 3 of the 4 had char on the crust where it had bubbled up. By char, I mean black spots. Unappetizing. Our server came by to check if we needed anything, we didn’t at the time. We had the marmalade pizza, a Guy F. Pizza (cannot remember the name), a Miss Piggie, and a pepperoni with peppers added. The added peppers turned out to be chili peppers which made it very, very hot. We all sampled each other’s, and this one was just about too hot. The crust was very good, the toppings were in good amounts, and all were flavorful. The burnt spots were not edible, but other than that- delicious. At no time did the server return to offer to refill our waters or the margarita that we had ordered. Every refill was after our request, and we had to request frequently with the spicy chili. The restrooms were for both male and female, and as typical for mens bathrooms, there was pee all over the floor and seat. I do not understand why establishments make the bathrooms for either gender. Men aren’t careful- ever! The bill arrived and there was a credit card surcharge- even though we had not indicated how we would be paying. We did not notice a credit card surcharge mentioned anywhere. We consider this inappropriate- and the prices were already considerably high enough considering the size of the pizza. We were driving through, and considering this experience we likely won’t stop by on our way back out.
