Had afternoon tea. Good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Good coffee too. Grounds were small so unable to walk it off afterwards.

Very quaint place. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Service was great and the scones (as in (s)cones not (sc)ons :-) were lovely and fresh.

Happy with the food quality and the service. Have returned several times since when on shoots in local Oxford area. Always pleased and never disappointed. I would thoroughly recommend.

We arrived at Sudbury House reception and were shown through to the restaurant drawing room for canopies and our coats were taken whilst we choose from the menu. We had rung ahead regarding our dietary requirements (gluten/nuts) and the chef was very accommodating by changing a few dishes to meet our needs. We were asked if we were there for an occasion? I said it was for my birthday.
We were shown through to the dining room and enjoyed seven courses of carefully selected and exquisitely presented food. Each course was served by the waiters who then explained the ingredients and the idea behind the dishes. Whilst we were waiting for the bill, we noticed the card on the table was hand written, the team had all signed to wish me a happy birthday, it made the night and I was so grateful.
This was a fantastic experience which I highly recommend, we loved every moment. It should be a Michelin restaurant with the level of presentation and attention to detail.
