Look, there's other places in Fallbrook to get $18 worth of a good meal. I ordered a bento box and this is what I got.... salad doesn't cost that much, rice doesn't cost that much and miso soup definitely doesn't cost that much so you make up for it with the protein. I'm extremely disappointed bc even after I called to ask if this was the right amount of meat the host said yes and that they weigh 5oz. And to enjoy. This is just ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend not even for the sushi if they treat customers like this. And no I didn't eat anything when I took this photo.

I recommend the Oh Yeah roll. It's the one of the only reasons I'd go to Fallbrook. So delicious and filling. Everyone there is friendly. My food was served fast. I couldn't finish my Miso Ramen so server put in to go container for me. That is also a delicious dish there too. And it's huge. Highly recommend if you're in or passing through Fallbrook and are craving Sushi and or Ramen.

This was the first time I have tried this place. It was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming even though I don't wear a mask. No judgment just service! The beef and chicken yakisoba was delicious. We had the dragon roll and shrimp tempura roll. The dragon roll was fantastic, for me being a newbie to sushi! Highly recommend this local place. Great quality of fish and shrimp. Noodles tasty and decent prices for quantity.

Update (02/26/22):
Yama must have a new chief or have been overly busy today. The food quality was way down.
• Miso Soup: Too thick. Powdery & not flavorful as usual.
• Tempura Vegetables: Under cooked. Tempura batter soggy, not crunchy.
• Mexican Roll: Got an A for presentation. B minus for flavor. Something was a little off on the roll.
Would I return to Yama again? Yes. However, if the quality continues to suffer I might have to seek out a new place for sushi | tempura.

The staff at Yama Sushi are welcoming and ready to serve. The fish is fresh, clean and so tasty.
Highly recommend a visit to Yama Sushi for a bite.

The saddest, most bland and tasteless ramen I’ve ever eaten. I should have known by looking at the ingredients, if it’s geared toward white people, pass. Waste of 20 dollars

Best sushi in north county! Great service and Steve and Yama and all the staff are great, heartfelt, standup folks. It’s always a pleasure being able to stop by for sushi and sake with my family.

Love that they accommodated my vegan diet. I also love that they offer brown rice instead of white upon request. Really good, fresh food!
