Red Rooster

This is not fast food… there was nobody at the counter for a solid 2-3 mins. Staff were confused, fried chicken was soggy on the outside and dry on the inside. Almost every table was dirty. It had been many years since I set foot in a Red Rooster and the last time I ate at a Red Rooster it left me sick for a few days - today’s experience demonstrates Red Rooster has not improved at all (I just haven’t got sick, yet)

It’ll do every now and again. I haven’t had Red Rooster for many years but grabbed some tonight on a whim. I had whatever the pack is with a quarter chicken, chips and a pineapple fritter. The chicken was moderately tasty and nicely moist. The chips were ok and the fritter a revelation. It may be years again before I try it again, but it was still a moderately happy experience tonight.

The last two times I've ordered the Fried Chicken pack (today, and last Thursday) the coleslaw was missing. When you are paying $30 for it, and $40 when ordering through Menulog, there's no excuse for missing food. You can't call them to notify them of this, it just rings out every time, and there is no where to let them know through the website ordering system. So we just have to accept that we've paid for food we haven't received. Really like the new menu range, but it appears the staff don't know their menu.

Was served food that made a couple of my household members considerably sick over the next few days. The managers on duty had been helpful in getting down details and I was told I'd be getting contacted by the store owner. It has now been more than 2-3 weeks at this point with no response after multiple calls made to the store in attempts to get in touch with the owner and being told I could expect a call back. Really poor food and service.
