Pete's Place

Just discovered this "must visit" darling town of Exeter and Pete's Place. Pete's Place is that small restaurant that you normally might just pass by, BUT DON'T. I have now eaten there a number of times and my standard order is a tuna melt (I don't eat red meat). It is consistently delicious. He adds sautéed onions and more. Hits all the right taste buds. If I ate meat there are lots of other things I would try. Service is fast and friendly, food tastes fresh. Didn't get 5 stars because it doesn't have that 5 star interior, but maybe they will spruce it up if Covid ever ends.

Very pleasant mom and pot eatery. Nice waitstaff (very attentive to our request). I ordered the French dip sandwich with a side salad. I was truly disappointed with my choices. The sandwich was served with meat and bread, no cheese or anything. The dipping sauce was so bland actually no flavor at all. It wasn't even salty. It was also on the cold side. You could totally tell it wasn't the juices the beef was cooked in. My side salad consisted of chopped iceberg lettuce, sprinkled with slice olives, chunked cucumber and a large piece of sliced mushroom. No 🍅, 🧅, mixed greens at all. Total disappointment.
