went to celebrate my birthday a few days ago. The view was good if you sat by the window. we booked a table for us as a family of 4, it was too small and we moved to another table (two tables together). Waited for half an hour after we ordered our food, guess it was busy that day. Waiting for half an hour was not fun but the food was good. My kids loved the 16-inch pizza. However, my steak was so so (I will give it 2 stars) but the chips were good, i will give it 4 stars. A gentle reminder, if you ask the staff to take pictures for you, make sure you check the pictures after they were taken. Mine were all blurry, oh my birthday dinner pictures.... ( My fault after all)

had some amazing food today the service was impeccable, there was two amazing waitresses that were so polite and had good energy which made me feel really good. couldn’t of asked for a better morning out with my friend, would really like to say thank you to the two girls that made the meal so great!!!!

Great service, lovely food, fast service. The only thing let it down was the coffee, the cappuccinos milk was burnt and made it tasteless.. The food was so tasty tho, and the service with food was fast... Reasonable price for the location with great views over the canal. Missed out on tiramisu as it was all gone! Saved my waistline a couple of inches! 😁 Will definitely be back...

We have lived in Exeter for 6 years and never visited Bar Venezia except for coffee and ice-cream during the day, frankly was just sceptical that the food would be up to much. However I was very surprised by the food and pleasant service, we had starters of squid and King prawns and they were delicious, my wife had the seafood linguini and said it was lovely, my son the escalope milanaise, equally lovely and I had the rib eye steak which was perfectly cooked and the chips were simply perfect.... I'm not a big chip eater but ate them all. (I would however have liked some mushrooms with my steak and possibly peas) cheese cake and coffee and walnut cake were delicious too. All in all this was a great experience, well priced based on current pricing, efficient, friendly service great food. I have given them an atmosphere rating of 3* but this is only based on the numbers of people, had it been busier I'm sure they'd get a 4 or 5. If like me you've been sceptical give it a try I'll certainly be going back.

Star of the show were the chunky chips. Nice and fluffy with beautiful crispy outside. Ribs weren't a standout but very tasty nonetheless and really nice chicken tenders. The waitress was top draw, very polite and welcoming. Although she was just glad of customers on a quiet Monday evening! Decent amount of choice on the menu so we'll worth a visit.
