Illegal Burger

Oh my God you have to come here! the burger was absolutely amazing! I got the illegal cream cheese and it was very spicy but doable with a moderate palette for spicy things. The Rosemary Parmesan truffle aïoli french fries are to die for and the season waffle fries (which are called illegal fries) accompanied by their gourmet sauce is absolutely delicious as well. Not to mention last but not least that the vanilla milkshake was flawlessly drinkable not too thick not too runny just perfect and exquisite.

I'm in the area dog sitting again and I wanted to try something new. The burger was fantastic. I could taste all the flavors that were on there. Including the cream cheese, jalapeños, and crispy onions. The fries were pretty unspectacular. Using the dipping sauce made a huge difference and made the fries way better. The service was hmmm..... Lack luster. Nothing special. I didn't feel like they even cared that we were there. No problem. Would I come back? For the burger yes. The fries and service not so much.

Great little burger place!! There are several locations, but we chose the Evergreen location. Potentially better with parking than the downtown Denver locations. We got the off the record avocado burger, the illegal cream cheese burger, and The Godfather burger. Everything tasted amazing. I had the cream cheese burger. The peppers were spicy and well cooked. My only complaint is that it is kind of a dry burger unlike the other two orders. So if you get that burger maybe get something a little more on the juicy side or extra sauce on the side. The green chili fries were very good! I would say that the side of fries is enough for two people! Great little spot! Will absolutely visit again.

We went to Illegal Burger the day before and had to come back the second day. Half the family wanted to try Mexican and half had to get more Illegal Burger. There’s a walk through between the two restaurants. I asked the hostess if we could sit somewhere to allow my who family to sit together. She said it was no big deal and explained one couple owned both restaurants. The burgers, fries, and fry sauce is hands down some of the best you will get at any high end burger place. I can’t wait to get one of these in Northern Colorado! Awesome service, great food and beverages!!

Terrible customer service! Not very clean, food was bland. I stood in line for 12 minutes waiting to be greeted, spoken to, ANYTHING while the female cook in the back stood staring at me through the kitchen window. Once the cashier finally did come to the front, he stood at the register waiting for me to name off my order, never once to explain the menu or offer any kind of service. At that point I KNEW that I was simply making this order to prove a point, because I was clearly inconveniencing him. I was the ONLY person in the entire restaurant, on a Wednesday at 2pm. If you work in the business to SERVE that is what is expected of you! Great potential business TERRIBLE staff. First, and last time customer!

I used to love eating here. Been going since the first opened years ago. However in recent years I’ve noticed the buns have lost their quality. They are brittle and dry and the quality of my experience has changed sadly. Used to be obsessed with these burgers but the last few times I’ve eaten here I’ve left disappointed
