Flat Top Grill

I have been to flat top Grill so many times and it remains a favorite even after all the restaurants I’ve been to. It’s a great place to take family and friends to because it’s a build your own and then they cook it for you and all the ingredients are absolutely incredible and delicious. this is a place I have taken my friends and family to and always recommend! Plus they have AMAZING dessert (no I am not 51 years old)

Most people who come here opt for the build your own bowl. The choice of vegetables is amazing. There is also plenty of vegan meat options. What I did not like, however, is that when they bring out the slip to your table asking for your choice of protein there is no vegan option there. Which means as a vegan if you want any protein you don’t have a choice but to add it to your bowl which takes up space, leaving you with less space for other items. I was a little upset about that. Whereas if you ate chicken/beef and whatever other kinds of meat, you can just say that on the slip and it’ll get added to your bowl in addition to whatever else you pick. Also, the price is not any less for vegans/vegetarians. I wish that would change that. I have seen people load of their bowls to the maximum extent and that’s the best way to go about it. Stuff as much as you possibly can in the bowls. And then hand it over to the staff who will cook the contents of your bowl and serve it to you.

First time coming here. Came here on a Sunday afternoon last week with my family. When we were seated, staff came right away and very friendly and helpful. You order your proteins then after that they"ll give you a little bowl you can fill up with whatever you want, like rice, noodles, and veggies; to go along with the proteins you ordered, that you will leave with the Cook, to grill for you for few minutes. Varieties of veggies. Love the tofu! And the sauces, great choices. Once your food are cooked, they'll have it ready for you to enjoy!

Sadly, it seems like certain people of color aren’t as welcomed here. The waitress assigned to my table was rude and dismissive. She barely let me finish any of my sentences as if she was trying to get rid of me. Although there was this other waitress that was extremely helpful and pleasant when she noticed I needed help. I was really excited being that it was my first time, but unfortunately I left disappointed.
