Coming here was not part of my original plans but I’m glad that changed. After hiking all day through the redwoods I had a craving for some pizza which allowed me to find this restaurant.
The food was very different from my usual liking but so good nonetheless. I started with the wild mushroom cobbler which was so much better than I had expected and then ordered the autumn butternut pizza because when else would I be able to try something like that? Ended up finishing the entire thing and went back to the hotel satisfied. Also, they give out free bread but I didn’t want to load up on that before my actual meals and if you have more than two people you should definitely call ahead for reservations. There is a small bar area that allowed me to walk in and be seated.

After thoroughly looking through all the places to eat in Eureka, I chose this one. I love Bistros and this place did not disappoint. Clarissa, our waiter, was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. We got the Kobe Beef and Mushroom Plate for an appetizer, they paired very well together. For dinner we did the steak and Italian mac and cheese. Everything was just wow.

Tonight's dinner was my first meal here, I have to say the service, the food and the atmosphere are all what I was looking for on a slightly rainy evening. The dimly lit restaurant struck a good balance between comfort and sophistication, and the brick pizza oven gave the room an slight amber glow.
The wait staff were all professional and welcoming — like I was a local — unafraid to spark a quick and friendly conversation.
I read a lot about the mushroom cobbler, and when it came out, I had to instantly snap this photo. The presentation and the taste was so perfect. Crusty and savory on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside.
If they ask you if you want the olives and tomatoes on your Italian mac and cheese, please consider saying YES. It did not disappoint.
Brick and Fire was not hard to locate. With easy to find street parking, I was able to pop in about an hour and a half before they closed.

The service was quick, friendly and engaging. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is a little tight and the oven makes the place a little warm. Not many tables so make a reservation!

What a gem! We were in town checking out the Redwood Highway. Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were able to score a table at the bar, but it was probably the best seat in the house. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, great flavor and sauce! The polenta lasagna was next level! Crisp and flavorful. Steak was amazing and tender. The potatoes au gratin had great flavor, and the cheese on top was crisp and delicious. Crème brûlée was exceptional! Butterscotch rum flavor …… Overall, we enjoyed everything from the awesome staff and service to the great seating and food. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic find! We had such a lovely dinner here. The atmosphere was chill, love the dim lights. It was also not too loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. We got some appetizers (the Brie was great), and then did the wine pairings for our meal. Do the pairings! They’re great.

The bacon wrapped pork loin was fantastic, my wife got the Mac n cheese that had a good mix between classic Mac n cheese and alfredo. We finished the night with blueberry & Lemon bread pudding. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I’ll post this for two places:
Brick & Fire and 2 Doors Down
Reservation: I would recommend calling before your visit, just to make sure you got a table for you and your family/friends. The restaurant is not huge but cozy and nice for quality time. Reservation was easy and they are very responsive to phone calls. The website I hope they improve it in the future.
Food: we are Vegetarian-Pescatarian so we do not no have meat experience. The food was fine, we enjoyed the variety of flavors we got, and I would say this is a mixed cuisine - Italian, Spanish or Mediterranean. I would describe it as Tuscan cuisine but this is only my interpretation from the food presentation. One dish we did not like was the Wild Mushroom Cobbler - was not really what we expected. Did not like it so much, juts personal taste.
For drinks, they had nonalcoholic beverages so we got the house made ginger ale and black cherry soda. The ginger ale had a flat flavor in my opinion for a ginger ale.
The restaurant was fully booked for the hour we wanted to visit so we were seated at their 2 Doors Down as they are an extension of each other. (For the service and ambiance I’ll post at the 2 Doors Down)

We stopped there for dinner but the place was packed. They recommended the place next door which is actually the same restaurant- they share kitchens and the menu is pretty much the same. The food was incredibly good. Be sure to check it out if you’re looking for a cozy restaurant with good food. Everything we tried was delicious but my favorite was the mushroom cobbler!!

Must-try: Piazza.
Top rated Italian restaurant in Eureka. Overall great dining experience with very welcoming service in a lovely town.
Started with Wild Mushroom Cobbler, we have Piazza and steak as the main dishes. They are both delicious and the Piazza taste especially amazing with simple components. For dessert my friend ordered ice cream. I tried black chocolate truffle with duck fat. It has a bit salt on it's top while the truffle itself is not rich of flavor of duck.
