Mad Batters

Had never heard of this bakery until just recently when I’d had one of their delicious cupcakes at an event. Stopped by this afternoon on a whim and I’m glad I did. There are a wide variety of desserts available ranging from cinnamon rolls to cakes to cookie sandwiches. And, of course, there are the cupcakes. To top it all off, the owner has put just as much effort and creativity into the design and decor. The whimsical nature of Alice in Wonderful permeates everything and your eye constantly catches some small detail that you missed before. Be sure to catch the dining area tucked around the side. I will definitely be back.

Very helpful and patient server who not only recommended the seasonal drinks that were on sale (even after we first asked for more expensive ones) but talked us through at least ten menu items. The pumpkin chai was lovely, the pumpkin pie bar incredible, the atmosphere fun... I'm definitely going back for more pumpkin treats and to try the Cheshire Bar

One of the best kept secrets of Eugene. I've driven past Mad Batters so many times without ever suspecting there could be a bakery with such delicious pastries. A truly hidden gem. Every single item I ordered felt like it was a fine tuned result of trial and error. A spectacular balance of flavors, textures, proportions of ingredients. Everything was perfect. Two items of note were the lemon lavender shortbread, and the raspberry coconut bar. The lemon lavender shortbread was a great indication of their expertise. Shortbread (typically bone dry and crumbly) was firm and had just enough moisture to prevent a desperate need for a drink. Lemon lavender is normally overpowered by lemon, but the lavender was equal and made it feel so much more sophisticated than just lemon with slight floral aftertaste. The raspberry coconut bar was the best pastry I've had in a very long time. The base was moist with a rich toasty caramelly butter flavor that bursts with every bite. Above that is a thin layer of raspberry preserves, the sour acidity was ideal for breaking up the pastry underneath. The top had a mix of coconut and oats that added a pleasant chewy texture. I cannot praise their delicious creations enough. I can only hope that my words conveyed a fraction of the experience I had with them. If you pass by Mad Batters while they happen to be open, take the time to treat yourself to something wildly irresistible. I will absolutely be coming back.

We came at 11:30 pretty well picked over… but had some stuff in freezer . We picked fresh from the employee top picks. NO disappointment !! Great no regrets!! 11,17,49 and 50 year old!! All picks amazing!! Will visit again!!! Excellent customer service!! Thank you for all the posts in the last couple weeks sharing this place!

I can't belive this place is so close to my home and this is the first time I've been there The pastries were terrific, nothing was overly sweet. Thr atmosphere is delightful. The bakery staff is friendly, the Inside is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. When you go in check out the meeting room in the back. Support your local business, don't miss out on this gem.

We hired Mad Batters Bakery for our wedding reception. Kandy collaborated with us on ideas and we ended up going with a cheesecake bar with a few trays of cookies for those who didn’t want cheesecake. The cheesecakes were AMAZING. We still get comments on them. For our cake, we had a NY style cheesecake with marionberry topping. The left overs were our breakfast the next morning. We also had a lavender cheesecake and a lemon blueberry, among the NY style with fruit toppings. They were simple and beautiful, just like we wanted. Those who were not into cheesecake enjoyed the cookies as well. Kandy really knows her craft. Everything we tried was not only tasty but aesthetically pleasing as well. Got a cake , cupcakes and tea biscuits for our baby shower . Everything was delicious and a work of art . This is truly a professional bakery and they are very reasonably priced . Kandy has great customer service and was a joy to do business with . She went above and beyond ! I am a tough critic when it comes to reviews but this was a perfect experience ! this place is the real deal.
