Room 33

This is a great place to eat dinner or just have drinks and appetizers. The decor was very nice, the waitress was friendly and the drinks were fantastic! The warm apple slice in the spiked apple cider was so good! We also ordered the pear and ginger-sage: a little too sweet for my taste but really good flavor, the French 75 perfect if you don't like sweet and the black widow which is good if you love tequila! The appetizers we ordered were good, mushrooms, wings that were still crispy 30 minutes later (I arrived late) and bruschetta were all good! For entrees we got the halibut, ribeye steak which was very tender and lobster ravioli with vodka sauce that had a nice kick and for dessert the sweet plantains the caramelized sugar on top made it so good!. This placed satisfied your tastebuds without over filling your stomach, we're definitely going back!

Room 33 has raised the bar for downtown dining and sumptuous, prohibition-style cocktails! They serve libations that are crafted with only the finest, freshest ingredients. Their menu will delight, from the first bite, till the last. Their chef, talented and creative, will tempt you with an ever changing daily entree. Which most often, is the choice I end up indulging in. The atmosphere, cozy and quaint, is accentuated by great music that still allows conversation with whomever you’re dining with. Rebecca Styn, the brains behind this speakeasy style lounge/eatery, once again proves, she is a true force to be reckoned with! Pay attention to this young lady, I have a feeling this is only the beginning of many great things to be added to her list of accomplishments and contributions in Erie and life!

I must begin with this - Room 33 is AMAZING! Stumbled upon this wonderful establishment on our walk to explore downtown Erie and took a peak inside. Due to Covid, the "secret" door was already open and we could see the actual bar and dining area. It was a pretty full crowd for a Saturday afternoon. The bartender mentioned that there would be a band that night and that was all I needed to hear! Made it back in time to snag some prime seats, just before the start of the show. The ambiance is spot-on for a speakeasy. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The menu is much more appealing than your standard deep fried bar food. The cocktails were well poured and tasted as desired. The food was cooked to perfection. The band played one helluva show! Erie is one of my favorite towns to travel to and thanks to Room 33 - I now have one more reason to keep coming back!
