absolutely delicious ice cream. could eat it everyday if i could and the staff is so sweet. as soon as i walked in i was greeted with smiling faces of the employees. i believe an employee named Ian served me. He was the sweetest person i’ve ever been served by. he gave me some excellent advice and suggestions on what to order as well as asked me about my day and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation all well doing his job wonderfully.

To celebrate with our kids, we headed to the nearest Kilwins, this one in Elmhurst, about 20 minutes drive on a weekend. The place is a tad small for the number of people who want ice cream. With 2 persons attending to the customers, it's a little wait if you have multiple orders, especially as only one person takes all your orders. So by the time I got mine, our sons and wife were already halfway through theirs. There should be an option for having 50/50 in one scoop, two flavors that can make up one scoop, especially as the guy takes 2 scoops for the first serving. We did not find out. Anyway, both our youngest son and I ordered 2 scoops and couldn't finish it, so down the trash went close to $10. At $50 for 4 people with gratuity, it is a bit expensive. The ice cream is smooth and nice. They have many flavors with different caloric values, with some in couple of hundreds to some in 300's and more. If you add the cone, you will probably be hitting a 1000 calories. I guess we can indulge in this once in a while. Bonus: we got to see the guy who served us make chocolate walnut fudge!! Love love this store. And the owner Megan’s imprint is on the entire staff with a smile and service level that is hard to find these days. First the chocolate and fudge are second to none. Melt in your mouth yumminess. Secondly the staff is attentive, knowledgeable and kind. It’s my go to store for my cravings and the unique Carmel apples make great hostess gifts. Highly recommend them.
