This is now my favourite place for pho and maybe even favourite Asian restaurant in Edmonton. The spicy squid is very, very good. Quick, friendly service, even when it was lunch hour on a Friday. The portions are also huge, for decent prices. We got our food really fast and I think there was only one table open in the place. Cute, intimate atmosphere. And obviously the flavours are all there!

Dinner tonight. Immediate friendly service to a clean table in this busy restaurant. Without asking a pot of green tea and two waters arrive at the table right away. Decide on pho and combo 2. Combo is won ton soup, chicken, shrimp and beef with noodles and spring rolls. Great won ton noodle soup served hot with flavorful broth. Grilled meats and noodles are a huge plate full of flavors served with fresh in house spring rolls as a side. Great flavors! Pho is another large portion with brisket, noodles and a different broth. Hot and flavorful! <br/>Tea pot is filled and staff are friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Great meal tonight!

My favourite place for Bun Bo Hue. I discovered this place way back in high school and this is still my go to for good bbh. I recently found a new favourite which is Bun Hen - clam noodle with shrimp-based sauce. It is really good, one of my friends from Vietnam introduced it to me and she said it can't be found anywhere - at least nowhere makes it nearly as good - so if you're up to trying something new, please try it! <br/>I've also tried their steamed tapioca dumplings which I also found tasted good, it's like har gow (from dim sum) but with a different texture. <br/>Another favourite of mine and my friends is the spicy chicken wings!!! Aside from Bun Bo Hue, this is another thing everyone needs to try. It is so good here. <br/>I find that whenever I go here, whatever I order is good but I would say that their pho isn't their specialty.

One of my pho places in Edmonton. The bun bo hue was really good. My wife really enjoyed her pho. What do you expect, its pho. A bit far from the city center but if you are in the area stop by.

Not a bad place for Vietnamese cuisine. Food tasted good but I have had better. Usually busy so sometimes the wait is a bit long for a table. Service is average, could be better. Portions size is decent. A little on the expensive side though. The interior is nice and clean.

Food quality is consistent. Overall, decent viet food all around, from pho, rice dishes, vermicelli to appies <br/><br/>I enjoy ordering the Deep fried chicken on fried rice. I can't get enough of the fried rice. The bun bo hue, pho special and sweet and sour pho are good but nothing extraordinary. Rice dishes are generally good. <br/><br/>For appies, I really like ordering the deep fried chicken wings. They're really tasty with a sweetness taste. Always comes out hot and fresh. I also like ordering to tapioca dumplings but they always run out of it. The lady that makes the dumplings only work once a wk, so maybe on a lucky day, you'll get your hands of them. It's not your typical dumplings. It has a sticky, slimy texture. Won't know if u will like it until u try!<br/><br/>The staff's service aren't consistent. Some are nice and some are rude. I had my water glass empty, 4 staffs walked by and did nothing. I finally had to ask for a refill, as i was dying from thirst<br/><br/>But overall, food is good

Staff ='s Far From Friendly. Older staff is rude, pushy and ignorant. Younger staff is more attentive. However, Food is amazing. If I could rate the food and service separately I would give the food a 5/5 and the service a 1.5/5. Quite often the order is wrong when it arrives to our table.. even though they repeat back the order. I'm not sure how that works.

Good food, friendly staff!. Good food, friendly staff! Brightly lit, cheerful and clean! Defies the stereo type of dingy Pho houses. Table service but ordering is done at point of sale. Almost a diner/fast food style transaction but the food is tabled by a server. <br/><br/>Fast, very fast! even when super busy! Prices are about average and the portions are typical which is to say LARGE. There wasn't an option for small sized (lunch size?) Pho so bring a big appetite. I think it's traditional to serve beef noodle soup in this large a portion as I have been to other noodle houses and recieved a similar portion. <br/><br/>The dishes are served with appropriate garnishes and a variety of hot sauces and condiments. <br/><br/>Hands down, my favorite noodle house. I hesitate to let this secret out of the bag because if word gets out how great this place is, I may not get a table next time I'm there!

I’m pretty confident in saying everyone knows about Cô Dô Hue. If you like pho and live/work north side, then Cô Dô needs no introduction. It is hands down one of the best places in Edmonton when you need to satisfy those I-can-never–get-enough-pho-cravings that one gets (or is that just me?)...

Good food, very clean. Only thing to improve on is server availability or checking in on how he dinning experience is going. I find sometimes you are left hanging when trying to get more water or napkin for example.

Average. I've always get their bun bo hue and it's second best in town. Anyway, figured I'd try the 4 colors vermicelli noodle bowl to compare with the one I had at Thanh Thanh. I've never cared for the pinkish sausage meat (bleh too sweet for me), the grilled chicken and pork were nice, slightly sweet and charred with lots of lemongrass flavour. The spring rolls were terrible; in fact they were spoiled. When I looked around some caucasian folks were chomping down on them happily. I thought to myself "what the heck?" so asked my caucasian hubby to confirm the taste and he agreed they were spoiled and nothing like what I make. Hmmm so we both left the spring rolls aside. BTW the service was not good, well I don't think it was ever good. They think they are popular enough that I don't need to be nice to their customers. Needless to say, we will not go back.

DEFINITELY WOULD NOT COME BACK. I went here for Mother's Day with my family, and my dish was brought out half an hour later when my family finished their meals. It basically ruined the meal for everyone, and I didn't get one apology. Thanks Co Do Hue for ruining Mother's Day, and I recommend anyone who has a bad experience to spread the word and boycott this place.

Poor value. We had been hearing how good this place was. What a disappointment!!<br/>I had sweet and sour pork over rice for $10.95. There wasn't even 5 pieces of pork, it was mostly rice with a few pieces of celery thrown in. They put turmeric or curry in the dish and it was terrible. The place was crowded, however noticed that most people had the Pho soup. Won't be back. No one came to our table once after we received our food and I had to go up to the counter to pay the bill.<br/>Big let down. Will go back to Pho King. Their food wins hands down over this dump.

Food is great but the service is crap. Went into the restaurant. It was 80% empty. Lady told us to sit by the door. I asked to sit further in the restaurant cause it was a cold day and my children were with me. Lady stared talking trash about us in vie names with the other workers. I then responded to her in Vietnamese letting her know I could understand everything she was saying. She was shocked then quickly sat us. The food is good here but if you get the wrong server, the experience is garbage. I don't know why she had a problem sitting us at an empty table anyways.

Visited this restaurant because Thanh, Thanh was closed for their summer holidays ( who does that??). Considering it is 4 blocks from my house, I am surprised I never saw or heard of this place. Went on at 8:25pm for take out service. Although they close at 8:30, it was packed. The service was friendly, atmosphere was good. The food was also good. Never had Pho soup before & it was great. Big portion, one would have been enough for both of us! We also tried a mixed meat chow mien on crispy noodles. Very good. The take out packaging was excellent. Everything separated. We will go back!

Second Visit. This time I brought the better half to check out the Bun Bo Hue. We both thought there are better places in Edmonton. The three or four ladies working were very impressive and busy with the many diners.<br/>The pho "Bun Bo Hue" was large. The broth was too thin for me and definitely could use more heat. The meat, which was plentiful, was thinly sliced and I think should have been chunky which would have given the pho more of a homemade appearance and taste. <br/><br/>The search goes on.

Fresh Great Tasting Food. Ate at this restaurant for the first time tonight... and it was Fantastic! The food was very fresh, and the ginger beef was amazing. My favorite part was the wonton soup - it had such great flavor! This is a wonderful, family restaurant, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a clean, fresh, and tasty place to eat.

Have been there a few times it'd was really good.....,was there a couple data ago and it was horrid... Beef satay is nasty and really pho broth and not spicy... Ginger beef tasted like card board! After I said something got ignored by the waitress.... Never going there again you gave to go to china town for the real thing!

Good! and bad..... I love this place, it's always packed no matter what time you go. I probably go here one a week or so. The food is great, the only thing I dislike about it, is the service. Sometimes the waitress gives dirty looks, are unfriendly and slow at times. Seriously a great place but if you want my tips, ya people people gotta earn it. Am I right?

Good pho !. I come here bi-weekly or even once a week sometimes. My boyfriend and I really like the Bun Bo Hue - with pho noodles. And its quality never changes! I hear the owners of Trang Tien know these owners, and thats why their soup base tastes the same?<br/><br/>Anyways, other things I recommend from here is the Pho Dac Diet (special) and the Pho Ga (chicken)... and the lunch specials are a pretty good deal too - the wonton soup is kind of msg-y but still good nonetheless

VERY GOOD!. Very extensive menu. All items we had were very well prepared. (Deep fried squid, grilled meats and shrimp and imperial rolls, rice and noodles). Our coffee looked very very strong when it first dripped through the filter BUT once added to the ice/water mix it was so smooth (like a brown cow without the alcohol or a very very nice rich chocolate milk). Would we go again...in a heart beat...after all there is a whole menu there waiting to be explored! MUST TAKE A GROUP WITH US SO THAT WE CAN TRY LOTS OF MENU ITEMS!<br/><br/>We were at this restaurant around 530pm on a week night and it was busy but food was coming out promptly. Staff were helpful and attentive (ice water was served moments after we got our menus and tea was at the table immediately after it was ordered). Staff were also very quick to remove empty plates etc. so the table didn't get crowded with a backlog of plates.<br/><br/>We will be back with friends to help us explore the whole menu!

Great Food. The food was great. Spring Rolls were nicely fried (and the oil must've been clean cause it didn't come out all black and stuff like lots of placed).<br/><br/>Their spicy noodle and pho was also very good and the meat in the pho seemed really fresh.<br/><br/>Iced Vietnamese + Condense Milk Coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste but that's probably cause the ice didn't have a chance to melt. I didn't have a chance to wait for it to melt cause the server gave me a very impatient kind of feeling of waiting us to finish up and leave ASAP. Granted they were quite busy and probably wanted our table. <br/><br/>Overall, I would definitely come again for the food but NOT during the lunch rush. Cause their service left a lot to be desired, wouldn't say they were rude but definitely felt rushed with our server asking if we were done our noodles before we were done and handing us the bill before I finished my coffee.

Best wonton in Edmonton. I love this place! The food is the best in town. We go here at least twice a month or more. Staff is friendly and warm. The food is Fantastic. I highly recommend to everyone.

I like this place because it is close to my place if I don't feel like going to China Town, however you will be spending a bit more on dishes here.<br/>My fave is the spicy meat pho, I find it has decent amount of meat in it.<br/>I have done the take out and eaten in, but have found the service can be hit or miss. As one poster mentioned, not rude but very inattentive.<br/>My fave place for pho is pagaloc, but this place is not far behind.

The beef pho was gross, and it had a very little amount of noddles. Lol everyone around me at different tables seem disapointed as me. If ure looking for pho stay away from here. The service sucked also.

Think of this as a mirror image of Trang Tien... except it's upgraded in decor (and price!).. This place has the same menu as Trang Tien because I heard a rumor that the chef left the originating restaurant to start this place.<br/><br/>The food tastes just as wonderful as Trang Tien except it looks a lot nicer and cleaner at this place, and it is closer to north side so you don't have to travel to Chinatown just to eat good pho and vermicelli. But all of this comes at a price... last I remembered everything here is $1-$2 more on average. Well worth it if you live in the north side and it is -30C with a snowstorm and all you can do is make it to 140ave/128st -ish... haha.<br/><br/>I ate in once (pho) and took out once (vermicelli) and both times it was fantastic. Check this place out if you want variety in the menu and you want to sit down and get serviced by a waitress. Otherwise look down a block and try Pho Du if you just want the staple pho/vermicelli food.<br/><br/>My Top 3 Viet Food Picks in Town:<br/>#1: Trang Tien / Co Do Hue (same menu, chef left to start his own Co Do Hue restaurant)<br/>#2. Yummy yummy in the tummy!. Heard about this place a while back and decided to try it recently. Love this place! The food is excellent, place is CLEAN, nice atmosphere/decor and awesome service. I recommend the spicy fried chicken wings! I will be a regular customer for sure!

Was a regular customer, but the last time I went, it was 8:30 pm and they closed at 9 and they refused to seat me. Offered me the option for take out but would not let me dine in. I am assuming because they wanted to leave work at closing time. I am a manager at a myself and as long as the sign says we are open till 9, we will be seating and welcoming customers till 9. I will not be returning.

Head here for tasty, down to earth traditional Vietnamese food when you're in the *gasp!* north end of the city. You won't be disappointed. If you try to eat the whole menu though, you'll have to come back for years... not that that's a bad thing. Bonus points if you can pronounce its name right.

Will not be going back. We ate there on about five to six ocasions. <br/>We always liked the food, the Bun Bo Hue is among the best in the city. The service had always been less than pleasant but never rude. On our last attempt to eat there, we had four of us in total. The three year old in our party was sleeping, we asked for one of the booths so the little one could lay flat. the hostess said that the two available booths by the door were for parties of six and we'd have to go to a table. So, we turned around and walked away.

Good. We are regular customers of Co Do Hue. The food is always good, good portion for the price. We find the service inconsistent but generally pretty good. We ordered two combo meals and salad rolls - it was more than enough for 3 people.

Eat here at least once or twice a week. Love the food and the staff has always been friendly. Food also comes out quick. The combos have more than enough food for a reasonable price. Naturally the Pho is usually very good, however I also like the Singapore noodles, and the fried rice noodles with mixed meat.

The food was definitely impressive - however, the service was bad enough that I don't think I would go back. The waitress didn't greet us, she just looked at us and dropped 2 menus on a table and walked away. She also answered everything with a grunt and made it very uncomfortable. Lastly the cook kept coming out and sitting right beside us and staring - the whole experience was a little uncomfortable. But, like I said, the food was good.

The food was great, atmosphere is typical vietnamese restaurant. But the staff is something else. Our waitressade it seem like it was a priviledge to be there and we should be thanking her. And the cook came out and sat at the table next to us and stared. But I liked the food so yeah I would come back again. But no tip until the service improves!
