Carl's Jr.

This place is pretty good, but the wait for an Angus burger was extensive, although worth it. The employees were clean, polite and apologetic. I have to say for two small sized meals, one being an Angus burger small meal, the total for those two lunch meals was $24.95 ! That seems awful expensive, but I guess that's what it costs. The receipt matched the order and the price board, so it is what it is.

I ordered the more or less the same two sandwiches with coffee for breakfast that I had at McDonald's yesterday and it was twice the price at Carl'sJr.. For a Saturday morning there's only one person preparing meals and two people working the drive through and front of shop. They are very inefficient and I had to wait more time for my food as a walk-in customer. I got my order at 10:49. I won't be back.

I came here at almost 10am. There was only one other customer already served in the lobby. I saw two cars go through drive through and two go to the counter then leave. The best thing was that the cashier was friendly and immediately available any time I approached the counter. I didn't hear any hostility in the kitchen. However the food and cleanliness was below standard. I got the bacon guacamole natural burger with natural fries and cherry coke. Fries and coke were perfect. The burger was thin, dry and well done. The guacamole was not a healthy green color. I've never experienced this before but the ketchup has a slightly fermented flavor. It needs to have the dispenser disassembled and thoroughly sanitized. I had fry sauce instead. The ranch dispenser didn't work at all. The fry sauce was empty. The cashier was right there to give me ready to go servings. The lobby is understandably depreciated. The ceiling tiles were all missing. The duct work was all clean looking though. Christmas decorations were scattered randomly. The entire time I was there nobody stocked or cleaned the lobby or bathrooms. The play area said it opened at 7am but the chairs were all still on the tables. The entrance had the snow shoveled but no ice melt was used therefore it was a significant liability.

I loved coming to Carls Jr's and would normally rate them a solid 4 stars but when I visited recently I recognized that their prices had increased by alot. My meal cost over $10 and I only ordered 3 spicy chickens and a soft drink. No way I'm gonna pay about $2.50 for one of their spicy chicken sandwiches. I probably won't be visiting Carls Jr's that much anymore. Hopefully prices get better.
