The Riverside

My son took me out for my birthday lunch today, The Riverside -Pub, Kitchen, and Coffee House, in Dunblane. The best meal ever, absolutely gorgeous, the meal and staff were brilliant. We will definitely be going back there again. Best roast beef lunch and all the trimmings, followed by creme brulee, and earl gray tea with loose tea instead of a bag, very nice.

A magnificent find. We were staying at the Hilton, Dunblane and decided to explore the town itself and happened upon this fantastic Restaurant / Pub. As soon as we entered the front door we were attentively greeted and shown to a table, sat and offered water, so our expectations were high. I opted for the Beer Battered Linlithgow Haggis to start which was stunning and full of flavor and for Main course I had Pan Roasted lamb Rump, which was cooked to perfection and the vegetables could not have been crispier and hot. We opted to skip deserts and had another pint of Belhaven Best instead. I cannot recommend this place enough based on our experience as the Chef Josh is definitely talented and the team at the front of house could not have been more accommodating. We had tea on a Friday 5pm. The restaurant was busy and we hadn't prebooked, but we were found a table which was booked for later on. We were given ample time for our meal and didn't feel time pressured because of this. The staff were so friendly and we were welcomed like old friends! As I was driving I couldn't partake in a cocktail, but my daughter had one which was lovely!There is an extensive menu and all reasonably priced. The food arrived quickly and was delicious and piping hot. The desserts were utterly divine! Highly recommend The Riverside, and should we be in Dunblane again, we will be back!

We stopped here for our last night in Scottland. We were tired and sad that our trip was coming to an end. We could not have found a more perfect place to end our adventure. It was cozy, warm and the food so good. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It's a must place to go. Thank you Riverside for hospitality.

This place is absolutely what independent breakfast spots are all about. Great welcome, swift polite service by engaged staff and the most delicious full Scottish breakfast I've enjoyed in a very long time. Great poached egg, amazing sausage and bacon and haggis and black pudding and..... A great al fresco decked area to the side overlooking the river. I'll be coming back to Dunblane more often with my guests if this restaurant is anything to go by what to expect.

This is one of our favourite places to chill out. Perfect setting on the river and so peaceful. The staff and food are exceptional especially the cream tea, cheese garlic bread. Reasonable prices for both food and drink. The manager is so attentive and obviously enjoying his job. Will be back again next week to sit outside (weather permitting)
