Food is delicious! We had Empire Builder burritos with deep-fried avocado as an appetizer. Beverage also very good...white sangria. Wait staff were very pleasant and service was quick. Nice atmosphere as well.

I ordered a al pastor tacos and a Imperial chicken burrito. My 1st choice to try was the al pastor's tacos I saw pineapple on that and I thought oh that might be weird but I tried it anyway and it was fantastic. To me it was so juicy and there there was so much flavor. the pineapple just put a bang of extra flavor in it. There was a little spice but not too spicy just phenomenal. The burrito was OK I'm not as impressed as I am with the tacos because the burritos all just put together and that's it but the tacos looked like they were just like made with love. Highly recommend the tacos

This place is awesome JUST GO ! The menu is friendly to all ways of eating/life styles. We went there around lunch hour and the service was still quick ! Food was fresh and presentation and service were on point! Cool entertaining decor and spacious seating. Great staff and location is great for parking spots!

It’s clean and has a good vibe. Great service from the barkeep, Liv. Cadillac margarita is on point. Got the rancher with jalapeños. Burrito reminds me of Chipotle and Qdoba—rice forward. “Carnitas” was an afterthought. All waded up in one end. Carnitas should have a golden crisp from it’s own fat—Dutch oven. This was shredded pork and watery. I get it. As that previous moron of a reviewer pointed out, it’s not Mexican. But when you list carnitas, it should be carnitas. The burritos should be mind blowing for $14 bones. The Fitgers presence is everywhere—swag, beer, website, menu. Don’t have their own identity. And wash those 4th street windows, place looks closed. Good IPA though. Happy hour everyday from 3-6!

We’ve been coming here since it’s inception, and love coming here! The food is great and the business appears to have evolved in its offerrings. I’m offerring 1 star today for the sole reason that the team working today left our poor server out to dry today. We were a 3 top, amongst two other groups of less than 6 each. Bar had less than a handful of people. We noticed what appeared to be our food sitting in the window, but the bartender passed it 8+ times, our server was actively supporting other tables, host was doing side work offering support where she could, and the line cook was drinking a beverage on the line, hovering over 10+ meals that needed to go out.
Hate to see a team so disengaged in supporting one another, ultimately at the expense of the customer. I’ve never had a sense that the people who work here subscribe to the lame idea of “that’s not my job”, but it was glaringly obvious she had no support.

If Burrito Union created a telenovela it would have to be titled “the bland and the boring”, seriously don’t waste your time. Jack cheese and romaine lettuce on an “authentic” taco… yeah I’ll just go to chipotle.

Cool vibe. Their food and beer is good. Service is pretty good. They are a little on the expensive side now, that's why I gave 4 stars. They were more affordable/competitive a handful of years ago, which is when they were also more busy. Has been a little on the light side, with customers. I'd go back, but their are other options in Duluth that are better.

Okay! Burrito Union is awesome!!!! Don't expect this to be your standard Mexican restaurant, 'cause it's not! They are a bit higher-end and won't over spice your entree's and drown the meat in Mexican flavor. RATHER, they specialize in different dipping sauces that is a flavor explosion, AND you can still taste your steak, chicken or pork. So don't come here looking for normal Mexican spice, because it's not, Burrito Union is a step above!
