Mi La Cay

NEW OWNER! way better than before, must try! Found this has recently changed ownership and we had to try it out. The food was excellent and flavorful. You can tell they do not use any msg and the sweetness and flavor comes from more expensive rock sugar which is the best route. The food taste just as you would expect from home made chef. This means that the owner cooks the same at home for family as she does for her guests. Please do expect a little bit of wait during busier service times since food is made to order and not pre cooked except for the broths which have obviously been cooking for a long period to get all the flavors to come through. We tried the Banh khot, which are mini Vietnamese pancakes (mini Banh xeo like) that are topped with shrimp and fried pork fat and fried onions. Accompanied with lettuce and lots of veggies to create a nice roll to dip in the nuoc cham (sweeter fish sauce combo for dipping). The broth from the hu tieu tap cam (combination meats noodle soup) was savory and sweet without msg to dry you out. The rice noodle with thit bo nuong la lot (beef grilled with betel leaves) was made with real betel leaves and not substituted with grape leaves or something else that's cheaper and easier to find. This is becoming one of my favorite meat topping here. Will pray that the restaurant will keep up the quality and superb flavor. Sorry that original owners sold off and quality declined but so glad new owners have come and brought such wonderful flavors. We live in an area full of Viet options and even close enough to head to some BuHi options, but honestly we may have possibly found our best and closest option for everything we want in a Viet restaurant. Pray they keep it up.

I used to love this place so much, because I came in at last minute before they close, and they stayed open for me. Then many people comes in after me and they served everyone well. The food was very tasty. I love the fresh noodles. So I took my mom here. My mom and I both got diarrhea from unwashed vegetables. The cashier aka daughter of the owner has a huge attitude. If I come back in the future, I would not eat the vegetables, just a hot soup or something. Please make sure you clean the side vegetables before you serve it to customer.

Absolutely delicious!! The lady who served us was so kind and helpful when it came to helping us decide what to pick from their menu. Definitely have to try their noodle dish called Mi La Cay which is what they’re known for besides their Bo 7 Mon (Beef Served 7 Ways). Food was certainly authentic to Vietnam here. Will be back very soon — with more people next time!

Just learned this restaurant under new management and been dying to try their banh khot since I've seen many pictures of it on social media and there's not many Vietnamese restaurants that serve it and it did not disappoint. Crispy, full of flavor with fresh veggies and a dipping sauce that's on point. I only go to restaurants to try unique dishes i can't make at home and not many places in Atlanta can lure me in. I can definitely say I'll frequent this place whenever I'm in the area as they have other unique dishes like their grilled clams and betel leaf wrapped beef. Authentically delicious and owners that have a passion for delivering quality food, highly recommend!

I love this place, one of my favorite restaurants even though I've never been a fan of Vietnamese food! Visited this place many times and they are consistent with their quality. The menus are in Vietnamese and English. The family-owned business is very sweet. They will answer all of your questions and even prepare things special for you if you ask! Their Thai tea is amazing. The Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam (Fish Sauce Wings) are the BEST wings I have ever had. You will not regret ordering them. they are the primary reason I come visit. Consistent, crispy, and delicious! The Com bo Luc Lac (Fried or white rice with beef) is very savory. The meat is tender and they give you wonderful portion! Always leaving this place happy and satisfied!
