We stopped in for dinner mostly because Oscar's was close to our hotel and we were too tired to go anywhere else. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service and tasty food- my fish and chips were excellent, and my burger was perfectly cooked. We also had the chorizo and mozzarella croquettes as a started, and they were very good as well. We ended up having a great meal! Our server was very friendly and helpful, and she made great recommendations and was very attentive. We're glad we stopped in!

Decent place for a quick lunch during the week!<br/><br/>This joint is pretty close where I work so I've been there for a couple of times having soup and sandwich. Overall the food is nice, simple and good enough. Don't expect it to be fancy or the best meal experience you'll ever have, but this is fair enough for lunch time :)

This is a lovely bar, cool interior and v cosy inside. V nicely decorated for christmas and a really good atmosphere. We were here for New years eve, it was busy but a lovely atmosphere! We had the Liver pate to start which was delicious. For main course I had the chicken burger and my man friend had a steak sandwich. Both were served with a side of chips which were chunky and tasty. Food was v good and would definitely eat here again! Service was a little slow but the night that was in it I think that's okay!

Such a handy spot in Smithfield, esp if you are going to the Lighthouse. I ordered the chicken noodles and it was really tasty. The staff are really friendly too, which is nice in a local neighborhood bar. I've called in here for drinks regularly, they have a nice wine list. They have good cocktail offers too, like a Cosmo for around €5/6.

Great spot for a few pre-cinema drinks or a bite to eat. If you go here, order the mussels! I've ordered them on several occasions now; the tastiest mussels in Dublin. You can an absolutely huge amount for the price you pay also; really great value for money. Drinks are all reasonably priced too; there's a great outdoor seating area and the place always seems to be busy. Definitely recommend.

Went to oscars for the first time as it was a suitable location for meeting friends. Really cool atmosphere inside. Nice big funky chairs, good location, close to town, but the food was only ok. I got the chicken and chorizo salad, what was good about this was the portion size was very generous - actually all the portion sizes where quite generous!! It wasn't horrible but it wasn't amazing either , just average . Still give it a go to tick off the foodie list 😊

I've visited Oscar's quite a few times for meeting up with friends. It's got a great atmosphere but not in the middle of town, town without the travel so to speak. I've had the chicken and chorizo salad many times and always add the goats. It really brings the whole dish to life. They are generous with the chorizo too which is probably one of my favourite things to eat. The fish dishes I've had in the past are very delicate, nicely presented and tasty. On my most recent visit I had the veggie burger. I'm a meat eater until I die but I have to say that was one of the best veggie burgers I've had. It was HUGE and nicely dressed with salad leaves and beef tomato. I actually didn't need the bun, because the burger itself was so satisfying. The burger was served with some crispy rosemary fries which were so tasty and well paired with the burger. Would definitely try it again. For wine I had a of pinot noir, which was gorgeous. The name escapes now what the bottle was. Overall Oscar's is reasonably priced, and always got a good atmosphere around it. Definitely a good spot for lunch, dinner or drinks.

Go to this restaurant a good bit because it's close to work. They do a good lunch and dinner trade. Their bloody Mary's are great and the wine list is lovely. However the last time I was here the service was just appalling, perhaps they were under staffed but there were issues that seriously need to be rectified. Firstly they spilt chips on my cousins coat, didn't offer to replace them or enquire if the coat had been stained. They then took ages to come over to get our drinks order. My Hake arrived and was raw in the middle, when I informed the waitress she said the chef had cooked it on a really hot pan, I asked her to just look at it and she agreed it wasn't cooked so brought it back to the kitchen. By the time it arrived the others had finished their meals. Subsequently they mixed up our drinks order twice. They still charged for everything and there was little in the way of an apology. However I have been back since that bad experience And the food was fine, however service was still under par.

Have been here for brunch and also dinner. For brunch I went for the eggs benedict- really tasty and very well presented. For dinner you have to try the chicken wings- absolutely delicious!! A word of warning though- the portion is huge. Get one between two if going for it as a starter. You can also have with chips as a main. Very messy but so worth it. Himself had the Philly steak sandwich and loved it. Steak was very tender and tasty. Service is very good- prompt but not rushed. Desserts were superb!!! Went for the chocolate fondant and chocolate cookie. They take a while to make them (bout 20 mins) but worth the wait and no harm having a break after all those wings! Great value and would return.
