The owner was so sweet and the food was amazing! He taught us how to properly eat the food and recommended different foods to us, the customer service was out of this world I highly highly recommend going!

Zaika grill is a diamond in the rough inside of Downey that hasn’t any other Indian or Pakistani restaurants that I know of. And it’s Halal, which makes it a great option! We ordered chicken Biryani & somosas for a large group of people for holiday meal. The chicken Biryani was amazing, very fresh w just the right amount of spice & chicken very tasty, perfectly seasoned. The somosas were delicious, good size, crispy & golden and the chutney very good also. The chef or manager, very kind and friendly, good customer service. Highly, highly recommend! Stop by and enjoy!

Their food is consistently good. I come here when I’m craving curry dishes. From right to left the dishes are eggplant curry, chicken tiki masala, palak paneer, and nehari. This was my first time trying their nehari and the beef was very tender. This was plated at home and I used cauliflower rice.

Based upon the food.. food was great favorite was chicken tikka masala and the samosas..

The grilled seekh kabob and butter chicken were really tasty dishes, but the same cannot be said about their haleem. Chicken tandoori and Malai chicken were solid overall. Mango lassi was a little too thin and icy for my liking, but overall still sweet and tangy. Prices are a bit too high imo (ended up coming out to around $90 for just 3 people).

The food was amazing. It is homemade Pakistani food and I have not found anything better in the whole year I've been in California. And to top it off the owner was very sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend :)
