Central Restaurant

Went to the hotel for lunch today. Two hours for one course and had to ask for coffee twice and one patron didn't get her drink at all. Appalling service but the food was excellent as usual. Hardly anyone there, so no excuse for extremy slow service. So many choices now so maybe needs a service review.

I have only been the one time, with our family, but it was good. I had a very tasty, and correctly cooked medium rare steak. Others in my group had good looking and tasty menu items too. Our waitress was a little inexperienced or forgetful(was young, 18/19?) but it didn't spoil the experience. We sat right by the window in the new fittout and it was a lovely outlook onto the Mersey River. Menu had many options, prices were ok, above average for pub meals, but I thought they were reasonable for the product. I liked the new fittout, and would certainly revisit.

The meals were prepared exceptionally well. Full credit to the kitchen for both a great menu and great meal preparation. The service was a bit slow but it was a busy Saturday night so that can be expected and I would be happy to wait a while as the food is really good. The venue is quite well laid out and the staff are quite pleasant so all in all a great place to dine.

Really enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and few drinks in the pub. Loved the rustic/modern decor and the staff were so friendly and professional. Great sofas in the bar and few of the ferries coming or going. Great pub menu, the Pasta was delicious, lots fo sauce and serving was big. Lamb pizza had some great flavours with a slightly spicy dressing. The garlic bread with some grilled cheese was a treat! Large selection of drinks. Highly recommend this bar/restaurant and I will visit again .
