The Crown Inn

Liked: The site is in a beautiful spot, with a charming church as the backdrop. The pub itself was so friendly, the food was very good! Reasonably priced and just great value for money. We got extra lucky with a live band on the Saturday so free entertainment too. The toilet blocks were clean and well stocked and the shower is free. Disliked: There was no hot water in the shower cubicle on Sunday AM but I really am nit picking.

Liked: The camping field is lovely and spacious next to a brook and fields. The pub appears to have regular activities on for the local community such as live music. There was live music and bbq when we were there and it was lovely and it wasn’t overly noisy it was nice : ) We didn’t eat at the pub but there are always people in. It has a lovely atmosphere and the hosts are very friendly. The toilet and shower block was handy and clean. I would definitely go again as it was so chilled and relaxing. Disliked: There wasn’t anything I disliked

Liked: Lovely site, new shower and toilet facilities which are clean and roomy. Very helpful landlord who has obviously gone the extra mile to make the site welcoming. We ate in the pub garden but liked the option of eating inside or using their takeaway menu. The flat camping area is secured by fencing making it child friendly. Nice walks from the site. Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Nice location, friendly staff. Family room was clean and had a hot shower. Dog friendly. Food was nice in the pub. Disliked: Very limited facilities. The family room was really nice but there is only one shower and toilet. The portacabin on the camping field is very basic and poorly cleaned. No washing up facilities. Very expensive for the facilities provided.

Liked: Just back from a last minute Saturday night stay at The Crown Inn and can't get over how good the site and location is as well as the friendly service and great food in the pub. Easy to access and pitch, flexibility over leaving time (after the great breakfast) and great facilities. Great for dog walking and nature spotting (deer, kestrel, woodpecker) out into the country and along the canal. Our dogs were made very welcome in the pub too. This site is relatively local to us and so it's high on the list for a quick escape when we need one. Disliked: Nothing

Lovely pub which is very busy, staff are lovely also but we have mixed thoughts on the food. I ordered steak and kidney pie with mash top which was fantastic where as my partner ordered chicken curry which was about 5 pieces of burnt black chicken with no sauce and it was really dry. Sadly not worth the money they charged for it. Also had to wait ages for a coffee we ordered but other wise everything else was lovely

Liked: Fantastic small site, clean toilets and showers. All I could hear was birds singing, it is a rural site so there might be some farm noise, but there was none when I was there. Friendly staff, pub does some great food. The breakfast was top quality and excellent value. Site does put on some events. I will be going back. Disliked: Nothing, all good
