Not sure who your guys executive chef and kitchen manager but my hats goes off..me being a 22 year chef myself I'm a rough on restaurant and rarely eat out but this food was very good. 1.server ari was a gem! 2.food was hot and fresh 3.i can tell every thing was made from scratch. The dressing honey mustard and ranch The onion straws was fresh cut Ordered chicken tenders it was real chicken The hamburger bun was either in house made or either locally made.we came after.9 pm and everything was made to order. Will be back KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. ITS THE SMALL THINGS

Given the scarcity of late-night food options in Des Moines, Star Bar is one of the few places that you can still get a solid meal even when you're not eating at a healthy hour. We've tried just about everything on the menu and everything offer on the menu is exactly as described. One of our favorite dishes on the menu is still the Star Burger. A no nonsense good bacon cheeseburger made with super fresh ingredients for a superb taste. We usually substitute the regular fries for the garlic parmesan fries instead. The beers on tap rotate throughout the year, but we haven't seen the Spaten Oktoberfest for a while now. Service is solid as others have pointed out and there's ample parking behind the restaurant.
