Corner Bakery Cafe

To start off, they had only one cashier who was new and apparently makes mistakes a lot, so we were standing in line for a good 10min before we got to order. When our food arrives at the table, I have to pick out half of my salad because there was brown lettuce, and my friend had to send his back because it was pasta instead of a sandwich. (Panini and Linguini sound the same I guess?) Which, okay that's understandable. But what happens next is NOT Chaos ensues, my friend didn't originally get his receipt, so when a good runner comes to take back his food then returns to check his receipt, she becomes frantic when he says he doesn't have it. The manager happened to be bussing tables nearby and walks over to ask what happened, the blond food runner says "*insert name here* messed an order up again" in the most irritable voice. The manager says "as long as we don't owe him money, it's fine. Fix it" and so they do, but then they forget to bring out his soup too. I already finished eating by the time my friend got his food and then the manager offered him a cookie, which he told me could've busted his teeth it was so hard. So, we'll stick to the one in highland village.

Thus chain has consistently good food at good prices. Also has relatively healthy food choices that taste good. Dinning rooms are bright, clean, and have booths, which we like. It's one of our favorite places to eat for a good meal, quick bite, or just desert....lots of good deserts!!! Nice staff. Casual.

Met some friends for a meeting and breakfast. Had gluten-free options and excellent coffee. Service was excellent, too. Staff was patient while decisions about food were made while ordering breakfast. Atmosphere provided a comfortable, warm place to hold a meeting and be with friends. Will go back again.

This location is great! I went for the first time ever and had no idea what I was doing. The sweet older gentleman taking orders was patient with me and even suggested a couple of things on the menu since I had never been. He then checked up on me throughout my meal and even brought out a free dessert since it was my first time! WOW! What a great example of second mile service from a steward.

I've been here a couple times for a quick lunch. Both times I had the chicken Caesar salad. It was quite good and the service was great. Price is reasonable. Employees are really helpful and friendly. Seems like a well-run operation, but I don't go very often and not very familiar with the rest of the menu.
