Buns Restaurant

We love Buns restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is great. They also have their own parking lot, which is close to the door, wheelchair and handicapped accessable. It's also pretty rare for downtown Delaware. We like to go in for lunch at off times like 11 am when they open, or 3 to 4 pm before the dinner crowd. All appetizers, entrees, soups, salads and sandwich platters are piled high with goodness. Every day they have different specials. Also desserts are awesome. When in Delaware, you definitely want to give the historic Buns Restaurant a try. It's a wonderful

I love Bun's and you will too. I stopped by after my son and I did sport clay shooting at Blackwing. We enjoyed the bread / bun that is the namesake of the restaurant. My son had the meatloaf covered with BBQ, it was fantastic! I had an open face turkey sandwich, the meat was fork tender and the generous portion was perfect for me. Our waitress was friendly, fun and fast. It was a great visit, I can't wait to come back.

Food was excellent. I had the stuffed flounder, and my husband had the strip steak which was cooked to perfection, which is a high compliment seeing as no one seems to know how to cook a steak medium anymore. The only thing bringing the rating down was the ditzy waitress. She came and took our drink order and said she'd be back with bread. Then she brought our appetizers and said she'd be back with bread. We didn't get our bread until after we got our main course. We had to ask a different waitress for more lemon slices and she never came to check if we needed refills. Not once. If I had been rating based on the service of OUR service it would have been a 1 star, but the other waitresses seemed attentive from what we saw. We were kind of jealous.

It was a huge night for myself and now future wife. I called buns and told them I would like to ask my girlfriend to marry me there. They gave us our own private table, Tv, and server. They were the first place we went to when we moved here and I thought it would be fitting. They are a great family place and we even met the owner. We can easily say we will always make room for buns. Great food, great employees, great owner. 5/5 no question, best place in town.
