Khalaf Grill

Service: The new Khalaf Grill looks greats clean and open…very open. Close seating tho.The layout of should of been booths on the sides and main inner seating with tables. That would of been more efficient and relaxed/semi private seating. We were seated right away, however their is some wait getting the appetisers and a even longer wait to get our main course. The service was good and tried their best to accommodate the long wait by proving us bread to eat while we wait. By the time we got our main course we were full from the bread and were ready to leave. Just beware if it’s busy your food will come later and will take a while to get to you. Food: The appetisers were okay, nothing different than the regular salad, hummus that you would get anywhere else. The main dish we got which was a mixed grill was great. It was too bad our food came late and we were already full by then. A place I would revisit again, hopefully when it’s less busy!

First time to the new location and worst experience. Dysfunctional and disorganized is the best description I can think of.. waited about an hour to be seated, the guy at the door seated 2 families before us and lied to my face about how they were there first. I clearly saw them add their name to the list 10 minutes after we arrived because I told them to put their names down for a table. Seated and waited about 30 minutes or so to see our waiter. Then about 30 more minutes to get the order. Food was ok, not great or special. I would not recommend this place. Find another restaurant. It's not like they serve anything special here.

Detailed review. Honest review. When we first walked in, we werent greeted. The 2 young men who walked in after us, were greeted and seated before us. We had booked a reservation, window seat. After about 6 minutes we finally went up to the register to say we have a reservation. 5 minutes later a server takes us to a table in the middle of the restaurant. They give us 1 menu, and leave. 5 minutes go buy, until we get ahold of another server to tell them we had reserved a window table. He proceeded to tell us they are reserved. We then tell him, we also reserved one. They then change tables for us to what we reserved. We still only had 1 menu so we had to take turns looking at what we wanted. Mind you, this is our FIRST AND LAST time here. We ordered our food and waited. When our food came out, 1 thing at a time, the hummus, had a weird odor and taste to it. The bread was great. The kafta (grilled in pita bread) was severely undercooked so we asked to take to kitchen to make it well done. When the kibbi came out, it was decent. When our mixed BBQ grill came out, the chicken kabob had the same odor and taste as the hummus, really weird. The meat was visibly red and bloody and severely undercooked. We asked for it to be well done and took back to the kitchen to be cooked properly. When it came out again, it was almost room temperature and was still SEVERELY UNDERCOOKED. At this point, we had enough. It smelled off, and was not cooked the way we wanted it. It felt very UNWELCOMING. from stepping inside, to now leaving the restaurant. We complained, not a discount was made. We did get an apology from the server. Which is appreciated. We paid our full bill, only have eaten the salad.... and left. Mind you, we were fasting. We were hungry. We left disappointed. Im sorry but this was TOO much. The very cheap utensils also came in paper bags. For such a nice looking restaurant, it was truelly a disappointment.

Let me start off by saying that there are many places I have visited, even when crazy busy, where there is still some level of organization, cleanliness or common sense. This place wow’s you with there new decor and expensive fixtures, however the food was legit trash. Chicken, rubbery, dry, no flavor. How can you mess up a hamburger that badly, it was literally black and burnt and so charred it rubbed off on your fingers like black sand. The chicken sandwich is literally 2 frozen chicken tenders on a bun with I swear to you the most wilted brown romaine you can possibly serve. One squeeze of mayo only enough for the bite in the middle. The entire restaurant smelled of sewer water or some type of drain backup… The floor was also very filthy and with 3 buss boys clearing one table there should have definitely been someone sweeping the floor. They were also pushing around one dirty, nasty smelling 3 tier tub on wheels, legit pressed up against my seat as I’m eating I was about to throw up. The garbage can liner full to the top on the side of it just being pushed around for all the guests to smell. It was so bad I mentioned to one of the bussers that it would be a good idea to take the plates to the back rather than push that large filthy cart around in what is obviously very tight seating. Walking back to my car after paying over 150$ for our dinner and noticed the parking lot was the real show stopper, should have known walking to the door seeing trash as I enterted to turn around. Well I learned my lesson, dont go to the Khara Grill!

For my tastes buds this place did not deliver!! Spicy Beef Kabob and Spicy Kafta was only good option here that was above average. Everything else including beef shawarma were below or just average. Fresh pita bread was good but half way through our meal they ran out of it. I recommend you try it for your self.
