Cafe Alf Resco

We remember Cafe Alf Resco opening in Dartmouth many years ago. So it was good to return after a very long time, when visiting the town. In fairness, we only had two cappuccino coffees on this occasion - which happened to be very good. But the place had lost none of its chilled atmosphere and it was clear that customers were relaxed and enjoying the ambience. We noticed our phones dropped their signal indoors, so were pleased to be able to easily pick up the restaurant's wifi. Staff were friendly and helpful as ever.

We walked into Dartmouth via the coast path from Stoke Fleming looking for somewhere to eat and happened upon Alf Rescos. What an amazing place! The atmosphere was great, the menu extensive, the service was quick and the food was really tasty. We had smoked salmon and avocado on toast which was the best I’ve ever had plus a granola bowl. The smoothies were also very good. Would definitely return next time we’re in Dartmouth.

Stopped off for lunch whilst visiting Dartmouth. Two of us had coronation salad - highly recommended. One had steak & mushroom baguette and the other sauerkraut & sausage baguette which they said were good. Portions were generous and our salads were delicious. Whilst my cider and sil’s iced coffee were at the perfect temperature, the guys’ lager could have been cooler but it’s a minor point.
