Friendly's

Yes, we get it—they are understaffed, just like everybody else. But these ladies are doing their best to take care of everything. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, but once our order was placed, the food arrived relatively quickly. I’m glad that the menu hasn’t changed much, and they still have a nice variety of ice cream.

DO NOT EAT HERE! My sister & I stopped here on the way to CT. as we used to go to friendly's all the time as kids. I noticed the sign on the door citing staffing issues, but we were willing to wait. There were 4 tables when we arrived. We waited 10 min, being passed by the 2 people working without a greeting or being told they'd be with us shortly. We were seating by the lady in all black (no name tag) and she took our drink order. 10 minutes later she brought our waters. My sisters had an orange dot on her lemon. Idk if it was molding or just taken off another patron's plate. Another 10-15 minutes passed and she came back to get our order. I got the onion ring appetizer and said I'd like to order ice cream. My sister got a hotdog and fries. 20 minutes later she brought our food and asked if there was anything else we needed. My sister wanted mustard and she started walking away as I was asking for bbq sauce & ranch. I looked at my sister's plate and there were fresh tomato seeds, mayonnaise and a strange liquid near her fries. I looked at my plate and there was mayonnaise wiped on it. At that point, I refused to eat. The woman in all black never came back to check on us. When my sister was done with her hotdog, the lady asked how everything was. I said, "my plate was dirty. I didn't eat that food and don't want to pay for it. My sister's plate was also dirty." She said ok and took the food away. No apology was given. I get staffing shortages, I get that they will only serve so many patrons due to said shortage, but COME ON! At least serve us food on clean plates and not give us lemons that looked like they came off someone's plate. NEVER AGAIN will I go back to this location.

This is always a great and wonderful place for last minute dinner with the kids. My son loves the chicken tenders here and of course he gets a small ice cream (they didn’t charge for it with the meal). That means the parents get a reason to eat a large sundae also! The steak patty melt was wonderful! The price is what was expected these days in the $30-$40 ballpark for two people for food and ice cream. I’ll def be stopping back as it is a once a month routine these days. The restaurant is always clean! Staff are always nice to all guests.

PROS: This friendly's was bigger than many of it's branches. The staff is very nice as well. Our nice waitress, Braylen (excuse the spelling) was very helpful and was on top of us all day which was a joy. CONS: The kitchen was very slow for a small crowd and half the tables were still blocked off despite covid restrictions dropping. Meanwhile the place is understaffed with no hostess which made people wait by the podium for 20 minutes before they all just left. I also saw a waitress pick food off someones plate with their bare hands in the kitchen before bringing it out to this older lady. OVERALL: Not the first friendlys id go to because of the slow service, but it was able to hit the spot with its food

My wife visited this restaurant on Friday night, April 8th with a larger party, mostly college students but also with my 8 year old son and my 10 year old daughter as they were visiting my son for the weekend as he attends Bloomsburg University. There was 10 of them. There's no easy way to say this as it felt like they went through a time portal and were suddenly in the 1950s where ignorant and hateful people lived. One of the college students that was out to dinner is African American and sadly and hateful got referred to as "the N word" by a server.. Craig Erlich what is going on in your restaurant? There needs to be immediate action here.
