Super cute and cool atmosphere. Not busy at all. Very quiet. Music was not too loud. There's a patio outside and many different levels in the old house conversion. Upstairs there are 3 big rooms with big dinning tables for bigger parties. Kinda of a family meal feel. The atmosphere was better than the food. Food was ok but I found it expensive for the quality that you are getting. A little overpriced in my opinion. Would of liked more veggies and less rice on my plate. Waiter was great. Didn't rush us at all and kept our water glasses full. Parking on the side available. Used the washroom upstairs, wasn't the cleanest. I'd give it another shot... See if the food gets better.

My family and I went here yesterday evening and the place was booming. It is such a beautiful character-filled restaurant! Even though it was super busy we still go great service from our two male staff. We ordered the artichoke and spinach dip, truffle fries, char main, lamb main, steak main and a chicken wrap and everyone was very happy with their meals. They refilled out water often and were nicely attentive. I also had an amazing red wine and the wine selection was great. We were in the fine dining area but went to check out upstairs afterwards before leaving and it (the bar area and party room) looked like a great date night or group party area. The balcony was open just to stand out on and was sweet. I will be back with all my friends in November as I love supporting local businesses (even though I don't live in Cumberland anymore) and thought this place had a good vibe and amazing ambience.

Drove here from Ottawa for a dinner party. Overall, it was not bad, but suffers from somewhat of an identity crisis. It gives off the impression of fine dining, but feels more like a pub. Service was a tad slow. Main server was good, but seeking any additional help from other servers resulted in substandard service. The food itself was just okay. However, oysters were fresh and delicious and came with a wide range of sauces and I would recommend them. The heritage building itself is quite nice, but decorations are not spectacular. Probably would not make the drive out to again.

Food was amazing. Certainly a 5 star meal. Cocktails, wine, appetizers, main course and desert all perfection. Didn't give a overall 5 star rating because it was Friday night and they ran out of a few menu options. They need to adjust to their popularity. Can hardly wait for another chance to dine there. Well done!

The restaurant is essentially inside a house with tables location upstairs for pub food and downstairs in the living room for more fine dining. My group made our way to the fine dining as we heard there was some good food and overall great experience from our other friends. It's too bad we had the complete opposite experience. Our waitress was really slow and practically ignored our table for the entire duration of our meal. She was promptly visiting every other table except for ours. We had to flag her down each time by waving our hand basically yelling "HELLO" in order to get her attention. The food was nothing spectacular at all even though the prices were way up there ($48 for T-bone steak). The restaurant was also very cramped and for some reason there were mosquitoes flying around the restaurant?! I understand the restaurant is located in an old house but atleast have the mosquitoes under control... Will not be coming back again, overall a terrible experience I highly recommend to stay away from this place.

If there was a 0 star, I would definitely put it. Right from the start, the hostest/general manager was on the phone and ignoring us when we walked in. Someone seriously needs to paint a smile on her face. She was extremely rude to our group. As we made our way to the bar, we felt that we were in the staff’s way. Then bar area was small and clutered. The overall attitude of the staff could have been better. The food was not very good at all. The fries were cold and the steak was tough. The building gives the impression thats it’s a nice classy restaurant but it’s in fact a pub with terrible decor. Save your money and go elsewhere!!
