This place is on top of the list for its food, I have been here many times and could never fault anything. Unfortunately Sunday night the service was lacking took 1 hour to receive our drinks and food took a very long time to come out. Im hoping it's a staffing issue as it hasn't deterred me from coming back again.

Wide range of options I go here regularly the food is beautiful the owner is friendly and happy to have a chat when free. The staff are lovely and friendly happy to make suggestions struggling from covid issues they strive to do what ever they can to make your dining experience enjoyable. The one star reviews are inaccurate I have sat next to tables making these reviews of wait time on busy days and it all just comes from a lack of understanding along with closing early with only two tables in I now understand why “Karen” is a label please go to Casalinga Andrew is the best chef I have ever met!!

Came here for mother’s day lunch. Hands down the most traumatising dining ‘experience’ i’ve ever had to endure. The experience began by being greeted by a rude a waitress with a bad attitude. With a set menu in place I would expect that the food quality and service would be great despite it being a busy mother’s day - that’s the whole point of a set menu. Not only did the food come out cold but we were waiting for it for over an hour. The restaurant made a point of noting dietary requirements as part of the booking and yet did an awful job of accomodating the requests (which were not unusual i.e dairy and gluten free). The desserts took an hour to come out and the ice cream came out half melted. Upon taking this up with the waitress we were rudely told it was because they were busy and the glasses had just come out of the dishwasher. Incorrect as the bowls were actually cold the issue was it had clearly been served up a significant amount of time before it was brought to our table. The restaurant clearly has time management issues and even though there appeared to be enough staff on they employ staff that need an attitude check and extra training. Very dissapointed and will never go back.

I have been wanting to try Casalinga for a long time as the reviews within the GF community were outstanding. We finally got to try on Mothers Day. The tables were so tightly packed the wait staff couldnt get through properly. The dips were put on our table without any explanation. The mains were served warm - my dish came out a good 10 minutes after everyone elses. One waitress in particular was exceedingly rude! For dessert we had icecream - how can you possibly screw up icecream! Came out more like soup! The waitress tried to tell us it was because they had to wait for the dishes from the dishwasher - um no the dishes were cold, This means the chef thought serving soup icecream was ok, and the waitress thought serving soup icecream was ok - no its not! As a chef for over 35 years I expect better!
