Piccolo Casa

We visited on 1/12/17, arrived at 7 pm, with a 7:30 reservation. They did not have availability to seat us early, which is completely fine. My mom and I were standing between the front check in area and the bar chatting when the waitress came charging through with a plate of food and hit it on the door jamb and dropped the food. She then proceeded to get very frustrated, looked up at my mom and snapped at her to move out of the way. While I understand that the restaurant is busy and dropping a plate of food is frustrating, that is absolutely no reason to take it out on a customer waiting for a table, especially when there is no true waiting area. We did not stay to try the food, as this woman was very rude and no food is worth a bad experience from the staff.

First time here. Great small local spot with Italian flare. We tried several things including the meat and cheese board (smoked duck was outstanding), cacio de pepe (wow), fresh caeser, and scallops w/ risotto (really nice). We were left wanting more because they were out of tiramisu (oh the humanity!), leg of lamb and some others we were hoping to try. However, the experience was great, the wine was tasty and we will return soon for round 2.
