one of the worst restaurants I have dealt with. I can cook better indian food than you guys and I am not even indian. I had ordered butter chicken, fried rice, naan bread and poppadom for myself. the fried rice had no veggies like it is supposed to, it was just plain rice and the butter chicken had condensed milk at the top, literally the top was white and the butter chicken was sweeter than condensed milk, I am unsure where they got the idea that this is the way to cook when google exists, I have a fiance from South india who said this was disgusting when he looked at it, if you are going to open a restaurant at least cook the original food. they have then told me on my face oh, this is how we cook in this restaurant, you can throw the food away even thought they got my order completely wrong. Pictures of the butter chicken and ''fried rice'' so you can compare it to google, which I have also put in there.
DONT ORDER FROM THEM.

Visited the mint on New Year’s Eve as a group of 6 and it was a disaster from start to finish. First off, the staff need retraining in basic customer service and manners if they want to keep their business running successfully.
We had to basically tell the staff how to do their job and after waiting for a considerable amount of time we had to ask if we could order our food yet.
The food orders got mixed up with the table next to us, food come out all different times. My rice came out first and by the time my curry arrived my rice was cold. I was asked twice what I ordered and the curry still come out completely wrong. However, I did get this taken off the bill which is the least they could do.
The party also asked several times for drinks some of which we were never given.
Finally the bill came and then the waiter took the bill again and added another £60 to the bill.
Due to the service we received we were not happy to pay the full amount so we disputed this and the manager and manageress became very rude.
Not once throughout the whole experience did we get a sincere apology.
Avoid at all costs.

Ordered a take away in person on new years Eve,to be told to come back and collect in 1 hour . went back an hour later and had another 30 min wait . The restaurant was not busy nor did they have any take aways.I really don't know what has happened to this place as it used to be lovely and the waiters were really welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately they have all gone and the place has gone downhill fast. Some woman on the desk hasn't got a clue ,she's very rude and doesn't even know what's on the menu. The curry I received was also watered down and not the madras strength I ordered. For those people dining in it's no longer a bring your own .The mint used to be a thriving business, always busy , bringing your own alcohol was great for people on a tight budget and enabled people to go out for food and not spend on overpriced drinks. Unfortunately greed has taken over and you are no longer able to do this . There is so much competition in that row ,you once had the upper hand with great curries and bring your own ,but not any more . You need to get your old chef back and your old waiters ....Get back to the standard that you were once known for ....

Excellent food. We have ordered from here a few times... Great prices as well! And the lady on the front desk is always very professional and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere - we have only ever ordered to take away here, it's worth collecting if you can as you get money off. Definitely recommend.

Came here on New Years Eve in a group of 6. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, we had to ask to order our drinks, order our food, which all in all took about 2 hours to come. When questioned where our food and drinks were the lady told us that we had our food after waiting for well over an hour and didn’t understand what the issue was, we didn’t have the right food, things were cold, they were getting our order and the table next to us orders mixed up, the drinks we ordered 20 minutes ago had been forgotten and not even made yet. I probably would of been a bit more sympathetic and understanding if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t there was just our table and the one next to ours. The female employee is one of the rudest people I have ever met, she kept patronising me calling me madam, she had worst attitude problem. Drinks never came... food was getting passed from table to table... unapologetic staff. It got to 11pm and we decided if we didn’t get up to do anything about getting our bill we would still be waiting into the new year. When it came to getting the bill, the total changed 3 times, was nothing to compensate the poor service we had received or the stinking attitude we got from the employees, so we did dispute as they were charging us for items that we never received or got. The end of the night was completely ruined by the employees. This place needs to be avoided at all costs and all the staff need to be sacked, especially the woman.

This place deserves a 0 star in all honesty. I attended with a couple of friends and the female at the front of the desk was very rude and kept staring at us all evening. The waiters were no better, they were not polite in the slightest and kept pestering us to buy poppadoms (5-6 times) even though we had said we were ok and didn't want to buy any starters.
Nevertheless, once we ordered our food and drinks it was just as bad. The beers tasted like they were off and were not even chilled. The food was repulsive, we ordered the tandoori mix grill and there was hardly any meat and the little meat we got was bland and chewy and horrible. I'm certain they are serving frozen foods as opposed to fresh. The lamb balti tasted like it was made with sugar as an ingredient and the naan were not even buttered or cut. The chairs were all broken and wobbly and the table they gave us was tiny and we were having to put food on the floor to make room. The restaurant was empty and they didn't suggest moving us to a bigger table.
During the night, we kept getting stares from the female worker at front of desk and the servers kept asking in a rude manner our opinions on the food constantly.
To top it all off, one of my friends told us the food was making him sick and ended up puking before we left and another spent the better part of our last hour there on the toilet.
Definitely our first and last trip to the Mint. One to avoid!

I can see a few bad reviews in here but I can’t comment on that. Maybe because I’ve been invited by my lovely indian friend... I wouldn’t know it. But the food was very nice! I’ve asked for something just mild and got the best possible. Service was also fast and the staff friendly.

Went as a 6 for new year was there for two and a half hours in this time drinks were wrong or just forgotten food was wrong, table next to us food was given to us and then passed back to them. when it came to paying we worked out ourselves they had over charged us. The staff were not helpful in any way when we told them food and drinks were wrong there was no apologies until we mentioned not paying and even then was with an attitude and very sarcastic. I used to recommend this place when people mentioned curry houses but from now on I will suggest elsewhere. Special mention to the woman in the restaurant she is very rude ill mannored person who needs a good slap along with sacking to make that business better having a restaurant is not just about the food it’s the service too and she was nothing but rude
