13/10, 14:30: nice cafe, weird service by 1 girl. We asked at the counter if there was a drinks menu. She just pointed at the fridge behind her… we asked of those were lemonades or ice teas or if there were beers. As we couldn’t read the labels and don’t know the brands. She answered ‘yeah there are some lemonades’.. with a sigh and stared into the room at the cash register. Not really helpful. When we chose something randomly, we asked if we could have a glass of ice with it, she raised her eyebrows and said “yes, fine”. It felt rude.

The best sausage roll I’ve ever had! Lovely staff and yummy Allpress coffee! Definitely a spot you would want to sit all afternoon and kick back at. Recommend!

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Umu. I loved how you could order through a barcode provided at the table. I had Mussel Chowder and honestly, the best I have tasted.

Had the most outstanding meal, probably the best steak I have had yet.
I commend the wait staff for their tolerance and understanding when dealing with a difficult customer that was there at the time with mental health issues they were so polite and patient.

The food was delicious. But the coffees seemed a bit off. The service was nice enough, taking into account that they were super busy.

Very good food and excellent service. We dined on Wednesday night in Winter so was nice and quiet but the quality of food was superb. Is a struggle to choose. Good variety of seafood, red meat and vegetarian. Update 22/2/23 had fish of the day (tarakihi) panfried and cremè brulee. Still tasty meals.

What a lovely place to eat, the atmosphere here is amazing but the food is to die for.
Hands down the best steak dish I’ve had, the flavours are bold and stunning. A text book perfect crème brûlée to boot. We will be back to this little slice of heaven!

Food was good, a shame we had to wait so long for food. And table service was lacking, had to wave down a waitress for more drinks and they weren't that busy. Staff were friendly and pizzas nice

The mussels were good. The pizza was good but would have been better if they made their own dough. Good spot for lunch with good service otherwise!
