Free to enter, Cornwall Gold makes it's own jewellery which is lovely. There is now an exhibition you can walk round which explains how the gold is acquired and has costumes you can put on for photographs. The workshop is still there where you can see the jewellery being made or get something of yours cleaned or repaired. This is the only place I know anywhere that still sells gold and silver plated chains by the inch. You can also walk through the tin streaming museum which shows how it was all done 100 and more years ago also free of charge. Finally there is The Pantry which serves a wonderful cooked breakfast served on a miners shovel as well as tea, coffee, pasties and pastries. Highly recommend it.

Lovely place to spend several hours. We have been and done the pottery painting 2 years in a row now, great fun on a wet day. Food was really tasty. Typical Cornish portion sizes so we could barely finish it! First time I've had breakfast on a shovel!

Was amazing experience. We spend an hour looking at the jewellery, which was all stunning. The history when we walked in all add to the experience. The pick an oyster and pearl was so much fun. Jan who help us through picking and mounting the pearl was friendly and kind. The food was so yummy. We had The Likky Pie and the Dirty Burger so tasty (perfect). Would recommend a visit . Before visiting goto there website and book in before you go. There's no payment but they offer £5 off when booked.

Can't fault this place for a day out. We learnt a lot about cornish mining and milling, panned for gold, looked at wonderful jewelry and had some great food at good prices. The staff were great and I'd recommend a visit here. Entrance is free.

We visited with family, 29th August decided to have a bite to eat in the cafe. Ordered pasties as a wet day only to hear a guy in an apron tell his colleague they were out! @ 2.15 Still displayed on the chalk board half hr later, slow service from the staff making the coffees not much communication going on.
Supervisor Jo was a delight! Very friendly and helpful, excellent service on the jewellery counter and with opening a pearl shell. We were there until just gone 4oc didn't phase her that closing time had gone by, she was a delight! Thank you Jo

Had a wonderful time in and around the grounds, spending hours painting a skull and drinking nice coffee. Super friendly staff keeping us entertained seeing and reading about some Cornish history.

I had breakfast, which arrived promptly and was excellent, great coffee, the staff were very helpful and friendly. A special mention to the Canadian Lady, who served me in the jewellery section, she was very helpful and knowledgeable, and very relaxed in her manner, not in your face trying to get me to buy more. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Enjoyed a little visit here with the family. The kids enjoyed the Talgos Panning sifting for gold, I enjoyed the food in the restaurant. There is also pottery painting, build a bear and souvenirs.

Something for everyone.
We have been here 3 times now, usually go when the weather isn't the best (a none beach day) in the last 3 years we've been to Cornwall.
We usually head to the Pantry and order the full English served on a Shovel. It's a novelty, but we love it. I'm sure we get looks from other customers, but a minute in, they wished they did the same.
The service has been fantastic each time and always safe and clean. The food is great quality and plenty on the shovel (or plate, choice is yours). The menu has plenty of choice in food and drink. Pretty sure they would cater for most needs.
The Jewelry is stunning to look at, we've bought a few bits and had a piece altered at a very low cost. Again, all the staff are brilliant.
Outside there's interesting things to see and do. A few bits have been closed, but this year the museum was open and we had a look around. It's fascinating seeing how things were done. Really worth a quick visit.
