Zamani Grill

Went here for lunch today and had a great time. Food quality was great, service was great, only complaint was the ambiance & decor could use some work. Hummus was excellent and so was all the meats between both plates. The star of the show for me was the chicken, it was seasoned perfect and had the perfect cook and char marks. The market is attached to the restaurant and has many great items to buy there after you finish your meal at the restaurant. 8/10 Would return for sure.

My family has been coming to Zamani’s for many years. They have the best tasting chicken shawarma I ever tasted overseas and in the USA. I now live on the other side of Houston, so buy pounds to take home. Their Fatouch salad tastes amazingly fresh. My wife loves their Tabuli salad and Hummus. They grew a grocery store that has a lot of things that is great to buy. Meat market to Middle Eastern products and other items to buy. I literally brought hundreds of coworkers and customers and family members to Zamani Grill when I worked and lived close to here over the years. Now I drive 25+ miles each way to buy in bulk to take food home for parties and family meals when circumstances align. If you have a chance to eat here or take food home from here you will be amazed. I dip my chicken into the garlic and others loved the hot sauce. I had a student from Saudi Arabia that I brought here and he recognized the flavors. But he said it tasted better than any he tasted in Saudi Arabia. Lol. You can not go wrong if you crave delicious food at Zamani Grill. Enjoy!

I got the family platter for 6, to go. I'm glad I got the larger platter, because it barely fed 4 people. The food was packaged well, although they put the cold food right on top of the hot food. The meats were cooked well, they were tender, and well seasoned. I'm not sure if I was shorted a type of meat, or if we just couldn't tell the difference between lamb and beef tenderloin. The hummus is good, basic, but done well. The garlic and strong and has a clean flavor. The babaganoush is very smokey, it goes well with the food, and it's smooth. It came with hot sauce, but we haven't tried it yet. Both meat trays had a lot of pickled spicy veg in them... if you like that kind of thing. They put a whole pita down under the meat with some onion to keep it nice. I'm disappointed with the amount of food. I walked around the grocery part, and it's a great little store. The dining room is very dated, but it looks better then it did a few years ago.
