Cracker Barrel

I don't get how anyone eats their dumplings.... There is zero flavor. It's straight up boiled flour. I didn't even taste salt or pepper... So very bland. The biscuits and cornbread have zero flavor as well. Strangely while some items have no flavors, their sugar cured ham was so salty, I honestly think I was given the country ham and not sugar cured ham that I ordered....So very salty. So not impressed.

It's been awhile since I've been to Cracker Barrel, so this was a nice treat. It was a the tail end of an unexpected rush when I arrived at 10:30 am on a Friday morning, and while the staff still seemed to be generally on top of things, there were some noticeable cracks that only slightly diminished my dining experience, forcing me to give 4 stars and not 5. I'm sorry y'all. While I didn't really notice it taking longer than usual for my table, just my dad and I, to get my food, when we did get it it was cold. Like the food was warm enough to eat if you had been fasting all day, which we had been, so we ate it. But the hash brown casserole had hard dried out bits to it, not yummy crunchy over cooked cheese, but left out dried out pieces of potato and cheese. The pancakes were amazing but would have been better if the butter was able to melt on them, but still the best pancakes I've had in a while. The staff was amazing and genuinely doing their best. Our waitress especially deserves all the awards for how amazing she was. Always had us topped up on our coffee and really respected the quiet of our table while still checking up on us. I just wish my father tipped you more, I only found out about his tip on the way home. 🤦🏼‍♀️I am so sorry.

Haven't eaten here in years. Was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and not overly expensive. Good tea. It wasn't crowded for a Friday night. Poor waiter said he hardly made anything because it was slow. It was kinda cool out that night. They have a big fireplace. Wish we were seated near it would have made for nice dinner ambiance.

Went for lunch one afternoon, around 1pm. Was told we would have to wait 45 minutes. When we were seated, we noticed some people get up and leave without eating. Not a good sign. We were short silverware and some of the cream for my coffee was already open. Took roughly 30 minutes for good to arrive and it was a disappointment. Okra was so soggy. Hardly any French Fries. Nothing seemed cooked all the way. Had to get up and get our own condiments from other tables. Refills took a while and we were missing a couple things from meals. I don't know if it was just a bad day or what but this visit was an extreme let down. Will probably not come back unless service and food quality improves.

This would have been my 2nd time going to a Crocker Barrel. The 1st time was in Louisiana about 5 years ago and I didn't like the food choices. So, I gave it another try. I didn't see waffles. Am I blind and was I over looking? Or do they really not serve waffles? Ended up settling for pancakes 🥞 instead

Great Food!!!! Amazing Service!!!! I love eating here or getting it to go. This is one of the few places I don't have to check my to-go bag because I know it's always packed correctly and nothing is missing. The manager Lucas will right any wrong (although wrongs are rare). This is a manager who takes pride in his restaurant and you can tell. I'll continue to come here often for as long as it's standing. Thanks Lucas for doing your job well.
