First time I've been to the Running Mare, found it looked good from the outside and inside. Parking was easy and had a relaxing atmosphere with good food and the staff were helpful and pleasant.

The food here is always good no matter what you have but the lobster is the best in the world - most restaurants over cook it and it’s tough but at the Running Mare always perfect. Sue

This is an absolutely first rate pub with excellent food, friendly service and a fine atmosphere. It can get rather busy, so plan accordingly. There's parking in the back.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and you can easily find the sort of space that suits you and your party. There are plenty of fine choices on the menu, and the food is delicious.

A lovely old school pub with great friendly staff. Food felt a little over priced but that could just be the cost of living.

A buffet lunch provided for a family gathering, using a reserved section outside.
All staff very courteous and helpful, and the lunch provided on time, as arranged.
