The Chip Pit

Our family has always looked forward to our Chip Pit stop as frequent highway 17 travelers. Sooooo disappointed to see they are now using frozen fries. We could totally taste the difference. They also removed access to their washroom and removed all picnic tables. Not very in tune with their customer base who I imagine are traveling like us and need somewhere to sit and and have a bio break.

Best French Fries in the Ottawa Valley. Free gravy on your fries. 4 napkins . Fast friendly service. Good parking. Convenient location on Trans Canada highway 17 for cross country travelers. You wont be disappointed. Havent tried any of the other food but lots of platters being sold when i was there today at 1 pm. I very seldom stop to rate food outlets but this one deserves the accolades Mjt

Just ordered 2 poutine. 2 drinks $18.00 Poutine was crunchy hard , all appeared to be the end cuts of the fries and had a burnt flavour to them Asked the lads inside about this , response was “ we don’t burn our fries “. Other lad says “. Oh yeah eat half the fries and expect a refund “ There was maybe 6 forkfuls of fries eaten and I picked thru the cup trying to see if there were any fries and not pieces of the ends Very very disrespectful owner/ employer ? I highly recommend NOT. Stopping here if you want to be treated respectively, or if you want good fries ,
