Mad Jack? Yeah this place is crazy. Crazy Good! Has to be the best BBQ place I’ve gone to EVER. And I have been to lots! The owner was very friendly and walked around to check in with people. There was a relatively long standing wait to order and get your food but it was well worth it!

I’m coming out of Texas and I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. Their barbecue is immaculate and delicious. The smoke rings on the brisket are absolutely perfect. If you don’t have a Dino rib you are absolutely missing out. This place is top tier dining for New Mexico

Was there on Good Friday and, was it a good Friday. Sliced brisket is FANTASTIC! Flew in from San Francisco to eat here! 3/4 brisket 🤤 1/2 turkey (delicious), slaw, beans and blueberry peach cobbler! AMAZING!! Any chance corn bread on the menu 🙏 for next time, 🙏?

Saying it’s a great BBQ spot would be an understatement. Bold and delicious flavors. All the meat cooked the same day. All the sides are fresh. Coleslaw was a bit watery for my liking. However, literally everything else was fantastic! Dino ribs were probably my favorite. However do not get the big bone. Get the lower rib to get more bang for your buck. The actual rib bone probably weighs 1lb. Dino Bone aka beef rib, a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Final verdict. I’m coming back for more!!!

This place is amazing, not only for food but truly a cultural experience! The anticipation standing in line, talking to locals and distant travelers alike, and even getting to chat with Jack himself. BBQ like no other, the ribs are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The sour cream potato salad is a must-have side. Mad Jacks is worth a trip to Cloudcroft anytime you're in the area!!

Tried a little bit of everything. Everything is amazing. Definitely well worth the wait, drive, and money. I didn't get photos of everything but everything is good on the menu.

If you are wanting some real BBQ, this is the place to go - not only is the food mouth-wateringly delicious, the owners and employees are amazing, funny and kind. It is totally worth waiting in line. Get the brisket and the blackberry cobbler. You won't be disappointed.

The service was cordial and prompt. I had pork ribs with sour cream potato salad (my first) and pinto beans, all à la carte. Ribs were tender and needed nothing else. Sides were good. Lots of drink choices. My companion had a brisket and sausage sandwich. We both sampled both and were satisfied. I hope to go back soon. Their cobbler has a good reputation and didn't try it.
