Went to Cracker Barrel because it was conviently located next to the Hampton Inn in Clinton, NJ. Had the roast beef with mashed potatoes. Serving was just enough to fill, was not too impressed. The vegetables soup tasted like Campbell's, but not as good. Waiter was terrific, Store is amazing !!!

We stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Clinton, NJ for dinner on our way back home in PA. It was awesome! The wait time was minimal and everything was organized. I am in a wheelchair and usually loathe bathrooms as they aren't handicapped friendly. Accessible does not mean the same as friendly. This one blew me away! It was more than big enough to fit my chair and maneuver around easily. It had a sink, soap dispenser, and paper towel dispenser in the stall!!! Outstanding! Not only that the baby changing station was NOT in the stall! That is so huge for me. I can't tell you how many times I've had to wait for the only handicapped stall in the bathroom. Anyway, I loved it. Our server Bennett was a 5 star even though his apron said 2 stars. He was awesome!! I waited tables for years and was a head server. I would have hired him in a heart beat!! Simply the best. The food was so good and very well priced. We had leftovers and Bennett even offered us dessert and drinks to go! We took him up on the drink offer. My son is enamored and I'm sure we'll be back whenever we are out that way again. Highly recommended!

This place is awesome. The gift shop was decorated for Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas which made it super cozy. And then the food ...out of this world amazing! Comfort food! And The portions are Great for the price. I wish I didn't live so far from here, because I'd come here at least once a week!

This my first time at a Cracker Barrel, ever. It was not a good experience. When we sat down, the table was a little dirty and the silverware and menus had food stuck to them. The food came out as quick as a fast food restaurant. The food was pretty cold as if it had been sitting out for a previous customer. When we told the waiter who brought it out, he took it back and brought it back in 25 seconds. You don't warm up roast beef in a microwave. After barely eating anything because my chicken fried chicken was not right and the potatoes felt like they had been sitting out too long and the biscuits and cornbread were very bland, I asked for the manager. I had explained everything to him and he comped our meal. Kudos to the manager for that. We had left the Cracker Barrel a little hungry. We will never go to one again.

Have been to many Cracker Barrel locations and always had a good experience. Today was a surprising disappointment. Fried chicken…dry and over cooked. Bacon borderline raw, 90% fat. Grilled cheese burnt. Coleslaw not good. Most of the food we didn’t eat. Our waiter was excellent. Not his fault… tipped 20%. He asked numerous times if everything was all right. We only asked to replace the bacon. When nothing was good we felt there wasn’t a point asking for everything to be replaced.
I know it is difficult to hire these days. Even if you have to pay over market I suggest splurging to get a good chef. We are not giving up on Cracker Barrel. This location is closest to our home. Will wait to see if reviews improve before returning. I’ll end on a high note. Very cold today. The big hearth had a beautiful fire ( wood not gas 😊 ) and the gift shop is excellent. This may sound like a strange request. It would be appreciated it if the restaurant can let us know when they are back on track.

My server, Casey, was the very best. I stopped in for dinner last night, just myself, and she was sweet and attentive. Nothing was forgotten, extra lemon for my tea, jelly with my biscuits, extra gravy and napkins. Everything was done with a smile. She was amazing and her service was impeccable!! Thank you Casey!! ❤️. The food was also super delicious too. 😊
