The Drinkery

Second time and the first time was such a vibe I literally come downtown to start my night there. The drinks are definitely for drinkers and 20$ goes a long way. It was karaoke night and of course the talent was hit or miss but the mix of the crowd was so dope you heard country rnb soul hip hop rock and rap. I love coming here bc it's LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY and I love being comfortable in my environment!

Ahh The Drinkery. I've had a long history with this establishment. Can confidently say I have only been on the stage one time. But, overall I can say I usually really enjoy going here! Drinks are pretty average, but right around 11p on weekends the energy kicks up quite a bit and it's pretty great for dancing. Less sketchy than it's across the street neighbor too 😉.

Best prices, especially their daily specials. Also, one of the best bars for karaoke Wednesday & Sunday nights. Big and roomy with a long bar + tables + dance floor + small back patio. Good for groups. Their staff and regulars are pretty welcoming. Popular nightclub on Fridays and Saturdays. No kitchen, but it's surrounded by great places for food that you can bring in. It's only one block from the 12th & Main streetcar stop.

There wasn't an entrance fee, which I liked. The crowd was reasonable and stayed to themselves. The staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks. Drinks are affordable, sized appropriately and worth it. The place is spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very clean however, the doors to both the men's and women's restroom are kept open. I was uncomfortable with this and chose to use a restroom that was away from the door. As I was washing my hands I was able to have a clear view of the men's restroom where I could have watched them urinate - if I was that type of person, so it became uncomfortable to wash my hands because privacy became an issue. Karaoke starts at 10pm sharp. We had a wonderful time singing and dancing. The DJ was friendly and tried to assist with having songs available that were requested. He didn't have 3 songs, back to back that my sister wanted to sing, but he did try to make up for it. The music was loud and clear. The lyrics shown on the television for karaoke matched the song and synched. The microphones worked really good. I'd totally return to this establishment.
