If it's a beautiful day in downtown Cincinnati and you want to enjoy a good casual dining experience outside, head over to the Pendleton area in Over The Rhine to Nation Kitchen & Bar. Good draft beer selection too. Left to right, you will see Guinness Stout, Sonder's You Betcha Hazy Juicy IPA, The Phoenix, The Hangover Burger and The Temperance Burger. Very reasonable prices and completely satisfied.

This place was straight fire. Me and a buddy were down in cincy for the evening an came across this fabulous establishment. First of we sat at the bar and service was on point. So already off to a great start. Second, the food. My god that food. One of my favorite things was were the skyline tater tots. Very much worth it and will be back again very soon.

There are very few places that serves tots as a side, but Nation takes it a step further with toppings for the tots. They also server sweet potato tots which are also really delicious! I ordered the burger of the month which was the Five Alarm Burger and it's a burger I would give a 5 out of 5. Everything was fresh and the buns were perfectly toasted and soft.

Celebrated my Birthday here and I HAD A TIME!!! Definitely do The Boozy Brunch!!! I tried the Breakfast bowl with chicken! It was so goooddd! They charged a $5 upcharge if you don't eat pork and wanted to sub proteins!!! No turkey or chicken options for breakfast...besides chicken and waffle!!! Our server was a sweetheart! Overall great brunch!!!

Our family hit this place up before a Reds game. They weren’t lying about having great burgers. SO good!! If you like to eat low carb, skip it in order to eat the bun on the burger. It is worth every calorie. And how do they get their tater tots to be so light and crunchy? Great ambience and service too. I definitely want to explore more items on the menu.

Service was very fast and polite while offering a great meal pairing to go with my lunch. The place was clean with a great looking wood style to go with the overall atmosphere. The Great White Buffalo burger was absolutely excellent, accompanying crispy fries and a local 3 Points Brewery; hatchet ale (plus an after dinner thin mint). All together, it made for a great lunch order for a sunny day in downtown Cincinnati. I would definitely recommend for anyone trying to have a great meal with a good atmosphere.

Last time I was here, while I loved the cozy nook with couches and coffee tables, I was really disappointed at the lack of queso on my queso Fries. So on this visit I was determined to try again and find something awesome! Hubby and I visited on Super Bowl night around 7p. We got a meter right out front and it was absolutely free! We came in to find that there were only about four other full tables. How perfectly relaxing! No Super Bowl craziness!! We sat in the second room at one of the long high tops. There were plenty of TVs so you can really have a good view no matter where you sit. And things were quiet enough that we could actually hear the funny commercials. We were waited on right away and she was great enough to let us know that wings were on special for $0.52 each (ordered in fives). We immediately started ordered wings and tots - two plain wings, three BBQ wings. Then sweet potato tots queso style. I mentioned that on my last visit the queso was on the skimpy side and could we get a solid amount this time around. She was super sweet and friendly about that. And I was pretty happy when our order came out. They gave us an extra side of queso! Perfect! Let me tell you - the sweetness of the sweet tots combined with the salty-ness of the taco meat and queso was so delicious! I think the BBQ wings were my favorite compared to the plain. They were made even better by dipping them in the bleu cheese dip! We also ordered burgers. Not that I had room for any more food. Lol. I probably only had three bites and then took the rest home. But hubby easily ate his quesadilla burger. The bill ended up being about $30 before tip - not bad. I will mention that they do charge $0.50 for extra queso - not a bad price. But in this case, they didn’t charge us - how nice was that?? We will definitely be back for more of those tots! That was absolutely our favorite part of the meal. And we would gladly pay for a couple extra sides of queso!

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to go to Nation for a really, really long time. The burgers were good, nothing at all to complain about but nothing extraordinary either. The standouts of the meal were the potatoes, though. I got the tots with the totcho topping and my boyfriend got the chips with the loaded option. I could seriously eat those tater tots every day for the rest of my life. They were cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of topping. My boyfriend loved his chips, too. As mentioned in other reviews, the service leaves something to be desired and is the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Our server came across as so disinterested in what she was doing that it was a little off-putting. There were also a couple of male servers that kept going out to the patio area to hang out with the people out there. I'm not sure how they could have been taking care of their customers like that.
