Perfect date night Just been and had one of the best meals of my life..... morrocon carrot soup with the cutest mini bread loaf to start, followed by a beautifully cooked roast beef dinner with all the trimmings including sweet potato roasties (absolute genius) and dessert to bring home coz we was stuffed. Found my new favourite cocktail which is Gaz's take on an espresso martini with homemade liquers which is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Gareth and the team, you have created a beautiful atmosphere you were all amazing and we will definitely be back soon. Excuse my face in the pics I really don't care I was one happy girly

Went for a meal before a visit to Chorley Theatre next door. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived, it was early but it seemed to take a while before we got any attention with someone asking us for drinks etc. We ordered our food and the the starters came out quite quickly. But the wait for the main course after that was about half an hour, which was just long enough for me to start getting a little annoyed - Especially as we'd booked long enough in advance for the show at the theatre. My starter, the Spiced Lamb Kofta, was tasty enough but a little on the small side. Can't really complain, it was a starter, but maybe a couple of mouthfuls and it was over with. I had the Smash Burger for main, and it was just that. A Smash Burger, which for the price was a disappointment. I make Smash Burgers a lot and it wasn't anything I couldn't have done myself for a fraction of the cost. They're cheap, easy, but tasty. That's kind of the point of them. Given the price I expected some kind of wow factor, which I didn't get. Call me naive, I mean, I got what I asked for, but... 🤷‍♂️ The atmosphere or the place was nice and pleasant, the staff, if a little unattentive, where friendly and polite. We gave ourselves a good hour before our show to eat and we just made the start time. We basically had to eat and run which I felt a bit bad about but we'd have missed the start of the show if we didn't.

Wow! Me and my friend came for lunch today (Friday) and had the most incredible tasty 3 course meal. Great value and top quality food. The decor and interior design of the place is so beautiful, most of it hand crafted and the guy is so passionate about his business which is refreshing to see. Highly recommend and will be back very soon. If you need some nice pics for the Gram this is a gorgeous place. Go ! The best thing to do is experience it for yourself. We came to Encore based off very good reviews. It was a busy Sunday night and we were shown to a table by a friendly waitress. We were delighted to have the option of a vegan set menu, I’ve never dined anywhere other than vegan-only restaurants that offer this, so this was a big plus for us! I think this is just for Veganuary. The starters came out quick and we both went for the vegan ‘scallops’ which were tasty and paired well with the charred citrus that was on the plate. Although the puffed rice was overly hard and in my opinion an unnecessary addition. For main, I went for the banana blossom fish and chips and my partner for the vegan seitan steak with peppercorn sauce. Both were tasty, although the steak looked a bit lost on the huge plate. We did have to chase up the peppercorn sauce as it didn’t arrive as expected. However when it did, it was about 90% whole peppercorn. It wasn’t necessarily bad but very intense and almost a chore to eat at times, but the dish would have been on the dry side otherwise. The ‘fish’ and chips however was excellent and I couldn’t find fault. The wine was very tasty and the hard-to-wreck Estrella was faultless. If I was to be super picky, the cutlery was on the wrong side and the toilets could benefit from a renovation. However this didn’t impact an otherwise respectable evening and I would definitely visit again! A special mention to the waitress and waiter who served us (young girl and guy with dark hair and glasses) who were exceptional. The other two we didn’t have much dealing with. Also, we were never asked about allergies which one of us had however we worked around it by opting for vegan.

Gareth and the team at Encore were incredibly welcoming to host a surprise birthday party with 20 diners last weekend at relatively last minute. We had our own space upstairs that I had been given free rein to decorate earlier in the day, and the service and food were impeccable, nothing was too much despite us staying way past the table booking time! Gareth made us some incredible cocktails too. Highly recommended for any dinner parties or events with their upstairs space and bar. Thank you team Encore 👍🏻

This place is a real hidden gem. Excellent service by a young team. The food is always excellent, the Korean chicken starter is my favourite (I wish it could be a main!). I'll be honest, I do miss the old days, of the side plate menu times.... The chicken bao buns were quite literally the best thing I've ever eaten, anywhere. The smoked jus is not to be missed either, so rich and indulgent, you kind of feel guilty for eating it! A fabulous place. Don't hesitate to visit.
