Anglesey Arms

We came here for lunch on a Sunday with our baby and dog. We didn’t book ahead so felt lucky when we were able to get a table. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They offered to bring us a high chair without needing to ask for one. The menu didn’t have much to choose from that was vegan, so we both ordered the vegan roast, with a beer, and ordered from the dog menu too- a dog beer and roast. LOVED that they had a dog menu. Didn’t realise it would be packets of kibble though but it did mean we could take home his leftovers afterwards easily. The vegan roast was so so delicious. We both very much enjoyed it. The veg on the side was okay. There was only one vegan dessert unfortunately which was ice cream, and on a cold rainy day it just wasn’t what we fancied so passed on that. Would be great if they had some more choices for vegans but otherwise what we did order was fantastic! Will definitely come back again!

We had a fantastic time at the Anglesey Arms. We had been for a walk at The Windmill and came across the Anglesey Arms by chance. They had a little Venue going on in the back garden, Selling freshly baked Pizzas , Alcohol and there was music and a place to dance. The weather was beautiful and we met a lot of lovely people.

Staff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent, there were four of us visiting and we had very different dishes. Outside dining atmosphere was very peaceful while the inside dining was extremely popular. Photos of the food are not the best the family couldn't wait to tuck in. Do try the Anglesey Arms out for yourself

Great pub for a better quality meal than your average chain like Harvester or Beefeater. The Pies and Chicken went down really well. We had booked a lunch table for 4 and were really looked after by Sam really well right from arrival to departure. Nice bright and clean inside with plenty of seating outside as well.

We walked here from our lodging at the Old Store Guest House, just down the street. This pub was perfect after a long day of traveling. It was cozy, yet modern and clean. The food was fantastic, along with the ale and cider selections. We got the Fish n Chips, Trout, and the Toffee Pudding (that was amazing!). Highly recommend giving this place a try!
