The wheat market is an absolutely wonderful staple of Chester! Unbelievable soups, specials, and cookies! One of our favorite spots there is and it goes way beyond their amazing food! From the beginning Joan, Dennis, Tammy, and the team made my wife and I feel like family! We love you guys, never change!

Love the Wheatmarket. Great sandwiches freshly made with quality ingredients, a variety of homemade soups that changes every day & always at least one hot entree available even when going for a later lunch. They have specialty food items that you can browse while they get your food ready. Limited seating available but it's well set up so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of one another.... We especially like to order our sandwiches to go in the summer and go have a little picnic in one of the many picturesque areas of Chester

Cashier was very nice. Food smelled good, though I only purchased cookies. They looked really good, and should have been for $2 each. However, we found them to be dry, not very tasty, and quite lacking in the sweetness one normally finds in a home baked cookie. Actually, not sweet at all. I live 30 min away, otherwise, I'd return the uneaten portions of the 4 cookies for a refund.

They also offer a wide selection of specialty drinks, chips, and candies to browse and enjoy. This local gem is attended by a friendly and fun staff, ready to answer questions and share a smile. The affordable, quality meal and the amiable, homey environment makes the WheatMarket a go-to lunch stop for locals and visitors alike!

What a cheerful gathering place! Serving the Chester community with rich soups, tasty salads and thick, traditional or creative sandwiches is just one aspect of the Wheatmarket's attractions. They also offer giant fresh-baked cookies like the white chocolate chip with cranberries that my husband shared with me. Kids of all ages love the variety of candies and bottled soft drinks. They also cater. If you go once, you'll want to return.
