Captain D's

First, this review is for the Captain D’s (owner), Battlefield location. Four years and more someone’s review stated “the place is nasty”. If your patron are sending you pictures of your investment, why are you not listening. You replied and that seems to be the end of your follow up. I too will attach pictures (12/23/21). Maybe you should be checking for mold, etc. and not just a check. Secondly, your employee Angel, she deserves five stars and more. She’s polite, informative and a pleasant worker. She own that front line. Welcome to Captain D’s, hello, thank you and happy holidays to everyone of your customers. I can only hope her pay equals her salary. Real talk.

Wife and I went there for dinner last night. The pink haired girl who was taking orders was so completely rude to everybody. She also talked like she had a mouth full of mush and you could barely understand her. She wouldn't stay in front of you long enough to hear your order so I had to repeat it three times. There was another girl behind the counter with long fake hair down to her knees who didn't say anything but kept giving us dirty looks. The place also was absolutely filthy and stunk like garbage. We finally got our order placed and I picked up some tartar sauce containers that were stacked on the counter. Miss pink hair literally yelled at me,"don't do that". That was the final straw. I demanded my money back and we left,never to return to this rat hole. By the way,the guy,who I assume was the mgr.,that came out to return our money,was very nice,apologetic and wished us a nice day. Kudos to him.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the restaurant, the ceiling is very spotted and dirty all the counters were dirty and dingy. I had the fish and chicken meal and the chicken looked and tasted like nugget strips that were bought in the bag from the grocery store and almost nugget size. My friend got the flounder and shrimp and the flounder was super thin and smaller then the palm of her hand and only like five very small shrimp. The overall quality of the food including the sides were not good at all. And the cleanliness was terrible and the employees seemed very miserable to be there. It is a shame because Captain D's has always been one of my favorites and a treat to get to go since I only get to go there about once a year.

The fried green tomatoes are ON POINT. Better than my grandmothers, and that takes a lot to say. Jalapeño poppers were excellent too. The guy at the window may be a little grumpy but I’d be grumpy too if I had people who don’t know the menu coming through all the time asking questions!! Everything we ordered was excellent. Thank you!!
