Rita's Ice

I was very disappointed to travel 30 minutes to indulge in a special treat for my son and find out that the establishment has it's bathrooms shut for Covid still... I was told by the employee to have my 5 year old use Egg Bistros bathrooms which I refused because we weren't patrons there. I understand the teenager behind the counter is just doing their job. The boss however refused to come to talk to me when I asked. Apparently, costumers aren't of importance here. I wish I read the reviews prior because sure enough I am not the only one. Hopefully, they take the hint.

Unfortunately this location has really gone downhill. We went two weeks ago, inside dining area is still roped off with no access to restrooms to wash hands before eating. Floors extremely sticky and dirty. Kids still love Rita’s, so it is what it is. We downloaded the app for the “first week of Spring,” and went on Friday- two days before the promotion ended. We were told by the associate working there that their location doesn’t honor the promotion being offered from corporate (isn’t that the point of being a franchise?), and they only offered the free promotion on the first day of Spring. Rita’s corporate made such a huge deal this year about it running all week, we were in no hurry to get there on the first day. Had we known, we would have gone on the first day too. But, since we were there already with excited children and it clearly wasn’t the associates fault (she was getting lots of angry customers after telling them the same thing as she told us), we ordered anyway. Twenty bucks later, we went out into the cold to eat. After being loyal Rita’s customers for many years, we won’t be returning in the future. The customer service, promotions and quality control at this location is just awful.

smelled of strong bleach, they explained they had just mopped the floor, yet my feet were sticking to it. Unfriendly staff, would not accept birthday coupons, restrooms closed to paying customers, seating closed to customers. $18 for 4 ices, I didn't want to disappoint the kids after a 25 min ride, but I should have just gone to 7-11 for Slurpee's

The one star goes out to the poor girl who had to work the front all by herself while the other guy hid in the back. The store was packed and she was slammed yet she did it all with a smile. They still have no indoor seating or bathrooms open to the public. Had to use the restroom at Glazenfyre. Hats off to them. Y’all…IT’S TIME TO OPEN THE BATHROOMS AND DINING AREAS. Stop using Covid as an excuse. I’ll be going to Dairy Queen in the meantime.
