Applebee's

Had lunch here today. I had a Blue Moon beer and my friend had a Stella Artois. They were standard. For an appetizer we had the White Queso Dip and Chips. It was not very warm and tasted a little meh. The Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp was pretty damn good but definitely makes you feel super sluggish and heavy. My friend had the Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. She says “it was the right amount of creamy, right amount of saucy, it was big and I feel gross.” So there you go. A pretty expected Applebee’s experience. Our waitress was so nice and fast. Nothing wrong with this experience, I just can’t give Applebee’s more than 3/5 stars and keep a clean conscience.

Nice restaurant but food not so good. Wife salad had been salad for way to long. It was like very old vegetables slime and brown. I ordered a steak med rare and there was not even smallest bit of pink. Great manager as she offered to get another steak going but I was not interested as I did not want to wait for one so she discounted our bill. Waiter might of had more tables than he should of.

We’ve eaten here before and it was really good…but this time not good. Could have been a new cook. Husbands steak was well done not medium rare which they did take off our bill. My Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad was a disaster. The lettuce was slimy in places and brown, hardly any almonds and drowned in a salty sauce which is usually a very yummy hint of flavor. Good service and nice and clean. We might give them another chance because we do enjoy Applebees….

Around 5pm on a Saturday. Probably 9-12 tables filled. We were greeted with 4 people standing at the host podium. We sat in the bar. Waitress was friendly but the only server and the bartender so she couldnt check on us easily. Cocktail was tasty, appetizer was good, took a while for food and noone checked on us even one time. I did notice that there were 9 servers on the floor plus 2 managers. The female manager ate her dinner while standing at a table in the bar area carrying on conversations with the staff. During this same time 4 waitresses stood at the end of the bar. I thought they were folding napkins but they were just talking -for 10+ Minutes while our waitress ran all over helping people. Our steaks were good but a little greasy. Finally the male host came over but just to bring our check. Not to ask how things were AND we had wanted to order dessert. It was just a disappointing experience.

So the food was good like it normally is, but the music was SUPER loud, so loud I couldn't hear the people across the table from me. And I ordered a whiskey sprite from the bar, it was so strong I couldn't drink it. Speaking as an experienced bartender, you can make a strong drink and still have it taste good or at least be palletable. I sent it back. So nothing majorly wrong but a few things they could improve.

Update from today's visit: went to lunch by myself. After a few disappointing experiences to Applebee's (bad service) I wanted to give them another chance. Once again, let me state that the food is always good. Today, I ordered one od rheor new bowls, the Tex-Mex Shrimp Bowl, a healthy delicious meal. Today I had a different waitress/waiter. Rhonda was a nice addition to the staff. She was polite, professional, she kept coming by to check on me and to make sure I had everything I needed. Also, the host, Ty was friendly and very polite. I enjoyed lunch and the professional service. Thumbs up on the experience today

Was treating my parents to dinner. Not busy when we arrived. I wanted an online special the waitress was unaware existed. Ordered a change in my meal but it was not given so had to flag down waiter. My mother didn't get a side but didn't realize her order didn't come with one. Diner next to us was given wrong drink. Diners on other side had no utensils when served their meal.
