I’ve had many chicken sandwiches in my lifetime, but I’ve never had such amazing high-quality chicken that this place has to offer, absolutely amazing food, highly recommend

Ordered many times. Chicken is fresh, tastes like home cooked meal. Same with burger, that is cooked perfectly with juice coming off.
The Italian Hot Dog is superior than Jimmy Buff’s in every way except for the potato

My fiancee and I arrived 15 minutes before close and asked for a fast and quick recommendation. Proceeded to have 2 of the best fried chicken sandwiches we’ve ever had in our lives! Watched the fresh chicken get breaded and fried right then and there. We were very happy and will be coming back for more soon.

Excellent sandwich, great onion rings. Absolutely the worst biscuit Ive ever had didnt even swallow it, just take it off the menu. Still would come back for that sandwich and rings though lol honestly was great.

At first you might be skeptical. Dimly lit, no AC, floors are sticky. The guy who took my order(the only person working) might come off disengaged. Stick around. Once I placed my order I heard him lay a fresh piece of chicken in the fryer and then proceed to carefully put together the best chicken sandwich I ever had with precision and passion. If you are looking to sit and socialize go to the nearest cafe but if you want a damn good sandwich come here. I will be back shortly.

I'm gonna explain myself the best way I can like if you grew up in a Italian family in a Italian neighborhood and your mother was 100% italian you will get this, if not come to Marie's chicken joint for the greatest homemade chicken noodle soup since your mommy made and the italian style hot dog is just as good as the famous Dickey Dee's in the beautiful City of Newark, I couldn't be more happier or satisfied with my choice of coming to Marie's

Best service you can get considering the small staff, good portions and affordable relative to the area. Food is insanely good, probably my favorite chicken spot. Took me awhile to actually go for the first time but I'm a frequent customer now. Their entire menu is great, definitely try the chatham chicken bowl

Never heard of this place but saw it on Uber Eats. I got the chicken bowl and it was awesome. They granted my request for substituting the breaded chicken for grilled chicken. Had the house salad, very fresh. Would def order again!

I got to sit and listen to my order of chicken cooking in the fryer from fresh. Tender in the middle, crunchy breading on the outside. Subtle but tasty tarragon gravy and a pile of real mashed potatoes. 2 pieces of chicken turned out to be 2 whole, full sized breasts.
