Luther Burger

While on our way to Five Guys, my husband found an ad online for Luthers Burgers. We quickly turned around, excited to try this new place! We were not disappointed in the least. The employees were friendly, knowledgable, and answered any and all questions we had. We both got a Luther Burger with Maple Bacon doughnut buns, as suggested by the clerk, and left 100% satisfied and eager to return! The vast selection of fries and seasonings is unique and we can't wait to try more combinations of flavors. I highly recommend this place, and I highly recommend a Luther Burger. We will be coming back soon!

Came for the Luther Burger... will come bag for the regular burger! We came to the Luther Burger for its signature burger. I’ve had one from Stuft before and it was well balanced. The burger here uses 2 house made donuts as the buns and a small smash burger patty. It sounds amazing but there was no balance between the two. The donuts overpowered the burger and it ended up just like eating 2 donuts with a bit of chew. The burgers come with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions, pickles, and burger sauce. The cheese, lettuce, onions (chopped), and tomato comes on the burger but I realized after eating most of the burger that the burger sauce were on the side (along with some sort of vegan dill mystery sauce). I found the pickles buried under the fries after eating my burger. The fries are definitely cooked in a vegetable oil and come with an array of dry seasonings. I chose sea salt and someone else chose ranch. The dry seasonings are helpful for adding flavor but the salt is just as good. I found dipping the fries in the mystery vegan dill sauce to be helpful. I’d recommend the Luther Burger for the novelty aspect. The regular burger was way better in my opinion with a much more balanced flavor profile. The burger itself is decent (think Five Guys) and the burger itself seemed to be properly constructed. I’d pass on the fries unless you really like generic waffle fries. The dry seasonings may help if you really like the flavor of the seasoning.

Since I don't like donuts, I opted for the regular burger with everything on it. It was probably one of the best $5.50 burgers in town. A good burger with fresh toppings. Hard to beat that. The fries with sour cream and onion flavoring was good too. I ordered the $2 mystery beer and got a raspberry beer. I guess you can't win them all.

Whether you are stopping here for delicious donuts from Sugar Shack or a burger from Luther Burger, you will not be disappointed. So far I have tried the crab cake sandwich and the vegan burger and I was very impressed with both. I have not yet "Luthered" a burger, swapping out the buns for two of Sugar Shacks glazed donuts, but I think that may be in my future.
