Waffle House

Went for Sunday breakfast (4/24). Not crowded but had to wait because 4 tables and two spots at the bar had not been cleared. One gal chatting with folks at a table. One gal in the “back room” on her phone. Two cooks and one gal going back and forth at the cook station. We waited maybe 5 minutes and nothing changed. We were not acknowledged. The floor was filthy with things that could easily have been swept up. But— the last straw was when the waffle guy picked up the waffles off the griddle with his BARE hands— not gloved— and plated them! We left. We won’t go back. If I knew who owned the franchise, I’d be calling them!

So every time we go to any location in cville we are ignored for so long that we have to leave. They don’t tell us about a wait or say we’ll be with you in a minute. And when we actually get served they are so rude. I have no idea why we even try to come anymore. Tried today and the same thing happened. We are never going to any location in Cville again.

Update: This store got worse. The corporate rep is incapable of governing this location. There is one good employee and the rest are lazy and useless. If they cant keep their hours what else cant they do? I will never take the chance on salmonella here - I hope they go out of business. Good food, great cook, useless waitress. She ignored me but was happy to jump up when her friend arrived, then ignored me a second time as she helped cook the second order while my food sat boxed up and ready for me. Six hashbrowns, two sandwiches, sausage, and waffles were all cooked and being packaged for the special and important customer before the cook himself could put my food in a bag and then ring me up himself. Very disappointed; now I remember why I avoid this location! One star service from the waitstaff, five star for the cook. I sure hope he doesn't have to tip her out as she did less than nothing for me!
